That thing reads like it was written by captain morgan. Here's a few things..

1.) Subjective assertion about his mortgage dealings - I wouldn't make any assumptions yet, and using the term "champagne socialist" is a clear red flag about her ..um.. allegiances.

2.) Dutch disease has already been shown. If you want to split hairs about the degree of influence, that's fine, but her rhetoric is clearly some form of shilling.

3.) She takes one sound bite about his commentary on the vastness of the oilsands and turns it into a negative. Then she changes the goalpost and goes for the divisive attack which we've all heard before and has been debunked.

Also, she's a self-proclaimed conservative so there is no doubt some influence there.

I can understand criticism, but she's just reciting a lot of talking points that we've gone over already.

Not yet. Maybe soon. You're meaning at the pumps??

Sure shoots up as soon as the crude in Alberta (and elsewhere) increases by a buck or so
Then takes weeks to drop back down when the price spike per/bbl drops.

BTW; Alberta's oil sands wouldn't be profitable, if it weren't for speculation trading, ME tensions, and OPEC oil control.

I'm calling shotgun.

The seat, not the actual gun. But we'll talk. ;)
You wear that little red number and you can sit anywhere your little heart desires, lol.

She hammered that one outta the park Flossy.... I'll bet that it still stings knowing that there is a well known voice that has elected to voice their opinion on Mulcair.

1.) Subjective assertion about his mortgage dealings - I wouldn't make any assumptions yet, and using the term "champagne socialist" is a clear red flag about her ..um.. allegiances.

If the guy can't handle his own money, he doesn't become my first choice for handling mine.

2.) Dutch disease has already been shown. If you want to split hairs about the degree of influence, that's fine, but her rhetoric is clearly some form of shilling.

Reread her inputs here, while this so-called dutch disease might play a minor role, some other small, wee little things like the global financial melt down might (just maybe) would have impacted the mfg sector.

I know that's a stretch, but try to think outside the box on this one.

3.) She takes one sound bite about his commentary on the vastness of the oilsands and turns it into a negative. Then she changes the goalpost and goes for the divisive attack which we've all heard before and has been debunked.

He spent all of 1 or 2 days looking at the sands... He didn't know anything about it before his trip and he knows a very miniscule amount now.

Also, she's a self-proclaimed conservative so there is no doubt some influence there.

Mulcair is a self-proclaimed champagne socialist - why is it wrong for Francis to proclaim her leanings?

I can understand criticism, but she's just reciting a lot of talking points that we've gone over already.

I disagree, you can't stand any criticism

What lesson?

None of the parties will turn the country into Greece.

Ahem- we have Provinces that are close to the brink- Ontario's deficit is the same size as California's. Wait for the debt downgrades- the massive Prov cuts to come- Then tell me what country you could compare some of these provinces to.

I can think of half a dozen, all of them with socialist leanings.

Every Prov, Ontario east- excluding NFLD & Labrador. Cuts will be massive and they will result in a drain on equalization funds as Hosp-Nurses-Drs etc are cut. That is where the drain will come into effect.

We will soon have to decide just what universal health care means and what it can provide. Same goes for education. There is no possible way we can continue to finance every procedure medical science can provide to every person that wants one. Nor can we provide unlimited cheap education to everyone that wants to sit in school.

THAT is probably the most truthful post I've seen here today. We have to get out from under the delusion that Government has to look after us and pay for treatment for every sniffle and fund every program we think we should have. If a person wants to get educated there are ways to get some of it without costing an arm and a leg.

A few months ago i heard a doctor (i think in the US )said if we made sure people would not get sick (prevention) it would cut cost and time, and help things a little.

I've said this on here before but it's well worth repeating. My family doctor told me several years ago that if every healthy Canadian would simply walk for an hour or so a day, within a few years our medicals costs would be reduced by half.
