Would you date a robot? More than a quarter of millennials say they would replace a human lover with a DROID

A new report has looked people's attitudes to the future of technology
Of 12,000 interviewed, over a quarter of 18-34 year olds said they'd date a robot
Men were found to be three times more likely to date bots than women

As robots become an ever increasing part of our daily lives, humans could soon find love with the machines, according to a new report.

The report suggests that over a quarter of 18-34 year-olds will feel it's normal to form friendships and even romantic relationships with robots in the future instead of humans.

And it seems that men are more likely to embrace the bots, with the report indicating that males are three times more likely to form a relationship with a robot than women.

LOl...Another pole[sic] from the "hillary will win" section.

Well, this could be the solution for all the randy politicians and unholywooders.
They never mention prostitutes and gigolos when they talk of the future unemployed, and I guess this also explains why they now have gender less birth certificates.

IMHO:
Soon we won't wonder where the neanderthals all went, we will be there too.

What do you think of this latest push to train our replacements?

OK, I'll green thumb that post.
(Crap, I mean I slipped)

It looks like if the sex part is kept human and the chores are left to the bots then that might work.

There have been studies that found women got along a lot better with men who DID NOT stick them with all the house work.

"The key to a good relationship? Sharing housework and parenting equally

The quality of women's relationships with their partner is diminished if they view their parenting division as unfair or want to spend more time working, our new study of employed parents in Canada has found.

Emerging research shows women's larger housework share deteriorates relationship satisfaction and leads to divorce.

Our study shows inequality across the domestic sphere — housework and parenting — jeopardises relationship quality."

Simply, men's equal parenting participation, regardless of mothers' employment status, appears to be the linchpin for relationship quality.

So a baby sitting robot will lead to better real sex and maybe more effed up children...

"Couples who share the housework are more likely to divorce, study finds

Divorce rates are far higher among “modern” couples who share the housework than in those where the woman does the lion’s share of the chores, a Norwegian study has found."

*sigh*
Well now there is some room for debate I suppose...

I'd program my Sex Droid like I do my lawnmower...

Hmmm...do I want to side bag, front bag or rear bag today? ;)

If the Droid knows how to clean and doesn't talk, I can sure see some benefits

God point. Having sex with a bot would be like having sex with a corpse. But a threesome with the two people in bed and the bot cleaning, cooking, serving, and doing the dishes would be a sweet deal!

Not a good sign of where the world is headed!

Too simplified. Who has more free time to do the house work? Also, what if the wife suffers skin allergies that make it uncomfortable to her to clean the house and do the dishes but she's still willing to compensate by doing the groceries, cooking, etc.?
