Hahaha! You saying you don't have any mirrors in your house?

Is it Presidentism... no (is there such thing?)

Obamanism... no (is there such thing with regards to what we are talking about?)

Racism... hell no

And yes, I have mirrors in my house. Please let me know if you are getting ready to move the goal post. Much appreciated.

Oh, I see, it is OK for you to bash liberals but is not OK for liberals to bash conservatives. Liberals criticize and they are bigots and chauvinistic but you are just critical.

I understand now. You may get back to your bashing.

Typical US Liberal chauvinism.

Sorry, Eagle. Liberals cannot be chauvinists as chauvinism is a characteristic of right wing thinkers. Here is a dictionary definition of the word.
chau·vin·ism (sh
v
-n
z
m)
n.1. Militant devotion to and glorification of one's country; fanatical patriotism.
chauvinism [ˈʃəʊvɪˌnɪzəm]n1. aggressive or fanatical patriotism; jingoism
2. enthusiastic devotion to a cause
3. smug irrational belief in the superiority of one's own race, party, sex, etc. male chauvinism[from French chauvinisme, after Nicolas Chauvin, legendary French soldier under Napoleon, noted for his vociferous and unthinking patriotism]

Yes that is what liberals and racists keep telling conservatives...

"We're liberal so we can't be racist."

"I'm liberal so I can't be a chauvanist."

It allows them to call for the lynching and torture of people like Clarence Thomas and think that that racist hate speech is perfectly fine. I am sure you've seen the clips we've posted here with US Liberal Dems saying "We should lynch Thomas... and his wife too."

Hypocricy at it's peak.

Oh we expect to be bashed. We just aren't hypocrites about it.

SJP taught us all that liberals cannot be hypocrites, by definition, because apparently liberals don't tell others how to live.

I like to bring up from time to time my great State of Massachusetts. Solid liberal democrat. Conservatism has such a small voice and the Republican representatives are so few that they make no difference in any vote.

Well a few years back our Speaker of the House, Liberal Democrat Tom Finneran pleaded guilty to felony charges. What Finneran did was attempt to redistrict growing African-American neighborhoods in order to keep his White Liberal Democrats in power. He knowingly attempted to chop up on the map these voting districts to make the African-America vote irrelevant in those areas.

So tell me... why can't liberals be racist again?

You appear to be confusing members of the US Democratic Party with liberals. As many in CC have pointed out the Democrats are liberal only by American standards; anywhere else they would be called conservatives. In any case, calling a liberal a chauvinist is equivalent to calling a conservative an iconoclast.

Not confusing the two at all. Canadian Liberals and US Liberals are identical. In fact I've met many US Liberals that make you look conservative.

Many in CC have said that but it ignores the reality of the matter. It is another myth that has been created to somehow try to separate how alike Canadians and Americans are.

anywhere else they would be called conservatives. In any case, calling a liberal a chauvinist is equivalent to calling a conservative an iconoclast.

Case in point. By merely saying you're liberal you feel it exonerates you and other liberals from being a chauvanist. I am not saying you are a chauvanist but there are liberals who are.

The same with liberals saying they can't be racist... See Above.

Read my post more carefully. Can you find the word "Canada" anywhere in it? Canada probably does fit though, considering that our current Conservative Prime Minister is probably to the left of Obama on most policies.

Also please read the dictionary definitions of chauvinism and check them against the word liberal. I doubt that you will find anything except opposites. If you are going to use a word to describe an ideology try choosing something more suitable. There are plenty of words to describe liberals, but chauvinism simply is not one of them.

As for Bachmann two more team managers left her campaign which is now seriously in decline. She initially was a front runner but has fallen into fourth place among the GOP candidates.

Ms. Bachmann made one very seriously mistake. She opened her mouth and voiced her opinions.

Bachmann Wants Iraqis To Pay ‘Several Million Dollars Per Life’ For Every American Who Died In Iraq

By Ian Millhiser on Nov 13, 2011 at 12:05 pm
In an interview this morning with Meet the Press’ David Gregory, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) repeated her claim that the Iraq should pay America for the privilege of having their nation invaded and occupied for most of the last decade — and then doubled down by calling for Iraq to pay millions of dollars for each American killed in that country:
It’s over 800 billion dollars that we have expended [in Iraq]. I believe that Iraq should pay us back for the money that we spent, and I believe that Iraq should pay the families that lost a loved one several million dollars per life, I think at minimum.

What the...?? Is she for real?? IF the empire had to pay for each Iraqi it killed........that might make more sense. If one recalls .....it was the empire that lied its way into an Iraq war and occupation.... and then building 505 Military bases there , a humongous embassy the size of a small country. etc etc.

IF the above is not perverted thinking , not sure what is. Who the hell asked the empire to spend a dime on that invasion?? Maybe she should talk to bush and have him fork out the money for those that died. It was his lie and his war.

Ms. Bachmann made one very seriously mistake. She opened her mouth and voiced her opinions.

That is TWO serious mistakes. She does not even make good talk show fodder. between candidates getting messages from god and this kind of crap........no wonder the empire is spiralling out of control.

What ever happened to the brain power that used to exist there??

Not just false, but seriously stupid, like saying that people without a job don't deserve to eat,now that;s the kind of person you want behind the wheel of a bus that's heading for the cliff, with the throttle stuck.

She's a religious person (like many) and often misquotes or paraphrases passages from scripture (as most would or simply cannot do).

The left and other MSM media spin the quote to mean something else (to them of course) but you can become all theological'n'stuff if ya like and re-examine the meaning. The inability to preserve the space between principle and personality is lost on many of the partisan.

2 Thessalonians 3:10

King James Version

"For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat".

A layman slacker non-believer like myself would take this self-reliance concept to mean, hey bud, if you won't (as opposed to can't) work, then shut your pie hole and fend for yourself. It's not up to us to support you. Ya dig?

Y'all have a bible fight if ya want but this is what it was. Simple as that.

On this we can agree, OB. The more I read and hear about this person, the more I wonder about the intelligence - or lack thereof - of the people who support her. The idea that Iraq should pay for a war that was imposed on them for specious reasons yet - is simply ludicrous. Yet another example of foot in mouth disease that seems to permeate this less than credible person's campaign.

There are "foot in mouth " diseases that are explainable and even understandable. Humans being humans and all that. She (IMHO) does not qualify for that excuse. She is dead serious when she utters this nonsense and that is what is so frightening. The other frightening factor is that there are folks that think like she does. They have a totally perverted sense of unreality mixed with a delusional level of self entitlement.

an aside but it is astounding what some of these "believers" come out with. It is almost like their brains have suffered some kind of viral infiltration and they "can't help themselves" .

We sit here and discuss the various leaderships on the planet and watch them change , be deposed and otherwise removed for a variety of reasons.........and yet we don't use the same critical standards on influential political folks in our own back yard.

IF the words are meant to have folks take notice of her .......then she is being manipulative as well as ignorant. (IMHO)

Michele Bachmann Makes Surprise Visit To Synagogue, Congregants Storm Out And Donate To Her Opponent

The holiness of the room and the holiness of the evening was greatly diminished for me, if not completely destroyed. Our congregation values and embodies tolerance, compassion, respect for individual rights, intelligence, science — all of the things that I think Michele Bachmann stands against.

I've always had an attraction to her. Good looking and Bat Crap Crazy. I'm thinking she would be fun for a night or 2..............

In August of 2011, as Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) campaigned for the GOP’s presidential nomination, she vociferously blamed President Barack Obama for high gas prices, pledging to get the cost under $2 a gallon if she’s elected into the White House.

“The day that the president became president gasoline was $1.79 a gallon. Look at what it is today,” she said at an event in Greenville, South Carolina. “Under President Bachmann, you will see gasoline come down below $2 a gallon again. That will happen.”

It appears that Bachmann achieved that goal without ever becoming president, as she proudly pointed out on Twitter Friday morning:

Bachmann wasn’t the only Republican to attribute high gas prices to Obama. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Bachmann’s challenger for the 2012 nomination, predicted that if Obama was reelected he would push gas to “$10 a gallon.” He promised $2.50 gas if he was elected.

In March 2012, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) predicted that if Obama was reelected gas would cost $5.45 per gallon by the start 2015.

But today, the nationwide average for a gallon of gas is $2.24 and can be purchased for under $2 in at least 33 states.
