Well, from the cheap seats...
- as a migraine sufferer, I wouldn't vote for someone who suffers from them for a position that is constantly under as much stress as the President of the United States is under. As others have mentioned, stress is one of the most common triggers and the position is far too important to allow that much down time.
- Michele Bachmann is scary. Period. She's almost a Christian equivalent of the Ayatollah's in Iran, or wants to be. That is not something we want in the de facto leader of free world. Anyone claiming they talk to God and God literally talks back on their most important decisions/turning points is frightening to me. I don't really care what most people believe in, as a general philosophy, but when what they believe has the ability to significantly impact my life, I start examining those beliefs very carefully... and fundamentalists of any stripe, with the apocalyptic fascinations they all seem to share, do scare the crap out of me.
- I don't see her as a credible candidate for the GOP, any more than Sarah Palin: they both have a certain amount of sex appeal, they both have influence among the Tea Party adherents, but when you look at policy and outlook, there is nothing there. Obama may not be the great Bringer of Change that he was advertised as, but he has a lot more on the ball than those two, which is a shame IMO, because I think the US needs more dynamic women in leadership roles... but they need intelligence, something these two lack. Bachmann will probably garner more support than Ron Paul (who's basic approach I can respect except it is too inflexible in too many ways to ever be practical) and a couple others, but thats really not saying that much.
