Third rock from the Sun
This meteor incident has done so much to bring attention to the cosmos..... MOre people will be looking up at the heavens now.....

Some of those kids who were otherwise not interested in the solar system, may now be more interested in the solar system than what nicki minaj is doing

So where do you get the environmental permit to crash a meteor into earth? And where did they hold the public meetings on this?

It's Russia, you don't need environmental permits or to consult the public. Obviously Putin offered it tax incentives and when it found out some tiny Italian hamlet owned the rights to "meteor" the meteor decided the EU just wasn't worth it.

Why is it Russia seems to be a meteor magnet?

Well they do have the largest land mass. That increased their chances of being hit. If this thing had hit in the middle of nowhere I doubt anyone would have paid attention. The Tanguska event didnt really get any attention til a few decades after it happened, and it was huge compared to this one.

haha. Its strange that they think that. Considering how much money the Americans put into their military they can do a lot better than dropping a rock on someone.

Like a 2008 stock market crash? If we spend enough on our military, we could achieve the same results too.
