Ford is #1 story because he is most hated by the left.

This would make sense if the Toronto Sun wasn't one of the most enthusiastic participants in this. Remember when they released an entire special issue late in the day on Halloween. 20 pages all about how Ford needs to GTFO?

With all the crap going on in Ontario- a Billion for the gas plants, a Mayor facing charges - a possible tax increase for Transit- 200 plus Mil for Cisco and on and on..........................
Why is Ford the Number 1 target for the Star and others.

So an open discussion on all that is crap in Ontario and why is Ford is the Number 1 news story in Ontario.
Vendetta or Journalism at a new low?

Why does this have anything to do with The Star? He has been front page news for every major news outlet, even around the world for a brief period.

As far as political stories go, there has been no shortage of coverage of the gas plant scandal. It has been covered heavily for well over a year now. Our freaking Premier resigned over it. The police are investigating. It is a big deal.

Rob's story is different though. It stopped being about politics a long time ago. It is a human drama. How many TV shows are there based around drugs, gangsters, hookers, partying, etc etc, compared to the number of TV shows about negotiating deals to relocate public infrastructure projects? The subject matter is simply more accessible and entertaining.

Nobody knows this more than Ford himself. He built his whole political image on it. He focuses on small things that everyone can understand, like free food or free parking for city councilors, instead of larger more abstract issues.

If Ford wants it to go away, he certainly hasn't help that with his international media tour.

Not really, hate is not what it is. He's an easy target because of hs own tabloid behavior. He reacts in a manner that keeps the game going.

Ontario is getting as bad as BC (basket case).

And don't think that doesn't piss me off!

Isn't it obvious? It's because he responds exactly how they want him to. You could say he's being trolled, and he responds in kind. That's what sells advertisements in media today. I especially love the concern trolling from Black. Hilarious.

Sad state for journalism don't you think?

From the Green Plan that will raise elec costs as predicted about 8 years ago or more, to a new high. Reports were made and the Left wing ignored it. Why?
The gas plant cancellation- It would have failed at the review level- but the Libs wanted to win.
The mayor that is facing charges. A former Liberal.Fuk me he is still a Liberal-
Tax increases are coming in the Prov.
But Ford is the story.
Why?
Why are his numbers holding?

I don't know why Ford's numbers are holding other than to acknowledge that people are willing to hold their noses because of all the idiots from previous administrations. There is an air of arrogance in the core of Toronto that is no secret. That city hall has a debris trail of wasted money, union corruption and expense plans that included lavish retirement parties and donations to the LEATHER BALL of all things. What is the Leather Ball you ask?

One city counselor used part of his office budget to donate to this Gala event.

Don't take my word for it. Read on:

This snippit is from the National Post

The leather ball
Retiring councillor Kyle Rae, already facing criticism for his publicly funded $12,000 retirement party made infamous by the Ford campaign, recorded another questionable, albeit much smaller, expense: he paid the $421 permit fee for a competition hosted by Mr. Leatherman Toronto in Allan Gardens in August. “Please accept our sincere appreciation for your very kind offer to pay the permit fees for our recent Leatherball-in-the-Park event,” states an attached note from the director of the competition, which raised money for gay and lesbian charities. Mr. Rae, who also expensed $700 in tickets to the Pride gala and more than $8,000 on a pair of overseas AIDS conferences, did not respond to messages.

Here's a link with the rest of the crap they were doing before Ford became Mayor.

Oh, and here;s a picture of said counselor Kyle Rae
After he threw himself a $12,000 party on the taxpayers dime

As to the other scandals in Ontario. The gas plant was nothing short of criminal. Nibyism to save three Liberal seats in an election. That is what Dalton McGuinty did, was bilk the taxpayers out of one billion dollars to save 3 LIBERAL SEATS in Oakville during the last Provincial election. Then the gutless little puke bag didn't even hang around to face the music, instead he hit the road. He should be ****ing charged because he is no better than Bernie Madoff. In the middle of a ****ing recession no less!

Maybe that's why Fords numbers are holding, because at its core, Ford might have a ****ed up personal life, but he's kept his pudgy hand out of the people wallet. Unlike all these other assbags.

None of those pictures are from the event that Rae provided the permit for. You provided pictures from some night club and a bathhouse, while the event in question took place in the park near Allen Gardens.

Also, this didn't really cost us anything since it was a "payment" from the city to the city.

Lets not forget that the conservatives campaigned on doing the exact same thing. Hudak stood in front of one of the plants and said they were "Done Done Done".

Why are you mad that McGuinty resigned? If he oversaw such a huge mistake, shouldn't he take responsibility for that? It in no way shields him from any legal action if that is warranted. It actually makes him more open to that because they were not able to force him to testify while he was Premier.

Ford is an out of control addict. He has all the atributes of a thug.
He hangs out with the most questionable people and still he has
numbers for now, but six weeks in a long time in politics.
In addition there is an old saying "you lie down with dogs you wake
up with fleas" If that's the case and the numbers hold must be a lot
of fleas in Toronto.
