You got it backwards..

.

God created man in his image.... then why does man come in so many shades, shapes, tongues and beliefs and come in two genders?

What gives you the right to think it is I who have "it" backwards? You are NOT God.... You are merely a judgemental man....

That was a direct quote, from Genesis, unedited or altered. If you have a problem with it, take it up with the Author.

Well, at one time it was considered that Moses was the author. I'm not 100% sure but I believe he is dead. Today it is considered to be a composite work. Would you happen to know any of the people that contributed...maybe give me a phone number. I'd like to get the info straight from the horses mouth.

Which author? It's not written in Aramahic or ancient Greek (the way it was allegedly related a century or so later) so it isn't in its original text is it?

The quote is from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible, by the Bible Society of Great Britain, with the original texts as its source. It was printed in the late 19th Century, and many regard it as unsurpassed as the most accessible and accurate English language translation. It is quite reliable.

So ... let me get this straight.... Your unquestionable gospel is a revision (how many times) interpreted from inaccurate translations of a book written some time after the facts based on fallible memories, gossip and legend. The Bible is a great work of fiction, but it is hardly more than a rough guide. Some have even read the lunar lander described in it.

Moses is the conduit, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (that's God), who penned the first 5 books of the Old Testament.. much as Paul, under the same authority penned the moral codices of the New Testament.

Moses was provided his mission through a burning bush, Paul through a blinding light after being flung from his mount on the road to Damascus (to persecute Christians). You can be sure that these are pure and united expressions of God's will.. not the work of a committee.

Yes ... I have written some interesting pieces following an encounter with a burning bush too ... and I have seen blinding lights (once in conjunction with being tossed by a fire hose head-first into the bottom bead of a truck bed)

I don't say your book is entirely wrong, but if it really is the word, why is it so routinely interpreted?

Interesting you should say that. I'm a conduit, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (that's God), who penned in excess of 3000 posts on Canadian Content forums before my 46th birthday... much as Joey, under the same authority penned the moral codices of the Intellectually Challenged Almanac of the New Pompous Testimonials.

I was provided my mission through a shaved bush, Joey through a blithering pirate (from Penzance) after being flung from his mount on the road to obscurity (to persecute Christians). You can be sure that these are pure and united expressions of God's will... not the work of a committee.

Then i suggest you go out and start a religion, Cannuck. If you get through a vetting of 2000 years, are willing to accept martyrdom for your beliefs, and reflect the purity, light and grace of a saint, with a following of billions.. you might have something. If your name only produces a blank stare after that period, you probably don't.

I wrote a book that I thought was inspired at the time. I even thought it might be a good basis for a new religion but then I thought of all the sheeple thinking I had a hot line to the creator and all I could think of was that I would eventually have to kill them all.

wow the word "troglodyte" just popped into my head again.Yeah, straight people never involve themselves in public "situations" lmao
Could you define straight?and situations? Like would getting caught with wife's sister be defined as straight situation?

We certainly don't have a parade to celebrate unfettered sexual indulgence, and produce lascivious demonstrations on floats (for the whole family to 'enjoy'), or disappear into alleyways along the route to 'consumate' our 'pride'.
What would you be doing taking your family to gay pride parades in the first place? You sure are weird.

And if troglodyte means keeping sexual activity between two adults, in a committed life long relationship. one man and one woman, in a 'cave' if you will.. at least out of public view.. well i don't take that as an insult.
It was the other one; the bit about being outmoded and reactionary.
