I'm in a quandary as to who to vote for. No Party has given a comprehensive platform that appeals to me for a long time.
So i cut and splice on the basis of issues.
The number one issue in this election is the Economy. In fact, it is the bankruptcy of the Post National Free Market paradigm (Free Trade, Monetarism, Deregulation, Privatization), dictated by the Global Investment Organism and its running dogs in the IMF, World Bank, WTO. Harper is infatuated and addicted to it , and it is failing absolutely and catastrophically. All issues related to the Deficit, Health Care, Pensions are dependent on re-establishing a Sovereign Integrated Industrial Economy. Without that and in the 'logic' of a Global economic tyranny, the IMF will come in and impose Austerity on us.
The second issue is arguably the Constitution. The NDP have by far the worst proposal for this, with an agenda of APPEASEMENT with separatists, whose only interest is in disassemblig Canada by unravellling its essential framework of a strong Federal government and 10 equal and subordinate provinces. But there is no way the Constitution is going to be reopened in the forseeable future.
The third isssue is the Culture of Death. Abortion, the destruction of marriage, homosexual affirmation.. all of which is a cancerous lesion on the culture of Canada. I have, on occasion, voted on this issue alone.. but the Conservatives now state these issues are settled Law. In Truth, Harper gave lip service to them, but was utterly disinterested in them (like ALL NEO-conservatives). They simply locked up the religious demographic for him to support his radical Economic Liberalism. Basically he has removed this as a consideration for real Conservative voters.
The fourth issue is the environment. The phoniest issue of all. An appeal to sentiment over reason. But actuated by fear mongering and lies (especially about the FRAUD of AGW). There is an insidious intersection with the 'solutions' to AGW, in the carbon credit system which is intended to support and further empower the Global Investment Organism. It will impoverish producers and make trading interests rich beyond imagination.. for an utterly fictitious 'threat'. Also there is a deep affinity with the Culture of Death and RADICAL environmentalism in their hatred of the human cause & 'population' in general.
In my riding of Chilliwack Fraser Canyon, the former Conservative (Reform) MP..Chuck Strahl.. retired and engineered the nomination of his son Mark as his replacement. A real chip off the old blockhead, he has virtually no credentials for office, except having acted as a political gofer for other ex-Reform party hacks. There's no way i'm voting for him.
I think the Liberals have blown it by providing absolutely no alterative to the idiotic economic policies of the Conservatives. I understand the criticisms of 'strategic voting', but there is no one in my riding who has proffered a viable solution to an impending economic and social tsunami bearing down on us.. and that has me considering voting for the NDP.. and hoping they will never form a government.
