It would competely shut out people like you from influencing the country.
What is there not to like?

Is that why you and your ilk are so bitter 'lo these many years of Conservative government? Minority and majority?

Do you 'feel' disenfranchised, impotent, ineffectual, flaccid?

Have a tonic and move along kid.

Maybe a handful of these will keep Flossy's mind from focusing exclusively on hatred.

I am being honest about it.

You are.....I mean should not Brain-Dead Pretty Boy and Mr. Mulcair be honest about it.........because if they are not, then it throws the entire process into disrepute. Deciding immediately after the election to form a coalition you swore was not in the cards during the election is at the very least dishonest.

And yes, I am well aware that progressives and despots hate anyone with cognitive ability and an education in history and politics. (That would be me) :)

Is that the line now? That coalition governments need to be campaigned on? The Cons must actually be worried there's going to be a coalition government. Why else would they be crying so much about it?

I think now more than ever we have two parties that have more than enough in common if a coalition were to become a possibility.

If they claw enough at each other, it could definitely give the Cons a majority, and I am sure that is what Harper is hoping for.

Not only is it what Harper is hoping for, it is what the NDP/Liberals are doing.

Yeah, they have quite a bit in common. Enough to scare the crap out of any sentient human being. Take a long look at Europe. Is that where you want to go multiculturally, politically and economically?

Yeah, it would be nice, if that is what they plan. I don't mean they have to make it a major plank, but it would be nice if they acknowledged the possibility, instead of pretending the entire idea is out of the question......until the election is over.

As I said, any sentient being should worry about a gov't including the socialist party, with an imbecile as PM. (No, there is no possibility it will be Mulcair)

If they ran saying a coalition will never happen and the result meant nobody but a coalition could command the confidence of parliament, they'd have to form a coalition, or have another election. That's how our system works.

Once again, the aggregates tell the true story.

Liberals still on top kiddies.

ThreeHundredEight.com: November 2014 federal polling averages

Cons will not get anywhere near a majority.

Prepare yourself for a Lib-NDP coalition.

As long as you want to play stupid games, here's one for you:

The 308 poll you greeted so joyfully at the beginning of this thread:

And here they are today, five months later:

Extrapolate my friend, extrapolate.

In 10 months, at Election time:

NDP: 21.7%

Liberals: 26.7%

Conservatives: 39.8%

That, my friend, is a solid Conservative majority. :)

Just heard on C.B.C. radio this morning that the election could happen as early as March. Just hope that gives Jr. enough time to make a complete and utter A$$hole of himself.:)

I'm saying that if the Conservatives win a minority government, the people of this wonderful country of ours will emphatically support a coalition against them.

And if that happens, this country will have the best government in its entire history.

Much to the chagrin of the decrepit old bean counters.

How did that work out last time. Oh wait...

It didn't.
