THe Liberals ran 9 straight surpluses - handed off to Haprer and he ran 5 straight deficits.

If Harper had continued on the trajectory he inherited we would be out of debt by now.

During the worst financial crisis in over a generation. Guess what? You are supposed to spend during downturn, and pay debt down in times of growth.

Oh, and he balanced the budget before handing over to the phucking Liberals, who are still in deficit in good times.

Justin is simply a stupid version of his father, who multiplied the debt by a factor of 9, and fiscally ****ed the gov't for two decades after he was gone.

Not really. The Liberals downloaded responsibility to the provinces and stole from EI to "balance" the budget. Also criminally neglected the armed forces. They Harper took over when the cupboard WS bare and a session was starting and he bowed to Liberal demands to keep spending on social programs and gifts to Quebec intact. In effect it was all smoke and mirriors. Unlike the very real surplus Harper handed to trudOWE, who promptly blew it like a drunken sailor on shore leave on other countries.

Harper also spent the cash (a lot of it at least) on infrastructure which is the responsible way to go.

I can't point to anything positive that tater tot has deployed the money against, oh, I guess that there was the billion dollar gift to Bombardier, so that's something

We're still paying down expensive debt that his short-sighted old man amassed decades ago.... Looks like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree

Harper was handed the best economy in the G7 which had paid down $90 billion in debt and had run 9 straight surplus budgets and promptly reversed course and piled up a brand new $150 billion in debt.

That's what happened.

We have one infrastructure project worth $20 million on the go right now and a second worth $6 in the initial planning stages. Thanks Justin!

BTW, your man Trump gave taxpayers dollars to Carrier and you were fine with it so why all the whining? Are you just upset that the wrong company is getting your money?

Excellent point!

Why, that proposed project was planned and developed and also went through the various stages of analysis by the gvt AND approved AND 1/2 way completed all within hours of Justine being elected.

Clearly you and Flossy partake in starting your respective days with a giant bowl of sugar frosted idiot flakes

Harper cut sales taxes. When is the last time Liberals cut and lowered taxes?

Harper was handed gov't just before the worst world financial crisis in over a generation. Guess what? You are supposed to spend during downturn, and pay debt down in times of growth. Not only that, he was in a minority gov't, and went deep into deficit on the insistence of the Liberals, as a condition of their support.

Oh, and he balanced the budget before handing over to the phucking Liberals, who are still in deficit in good times.

Justin is simply a stupid version of his father, who multiplied the debt by a factor of 9, and fiscally ****ed the gov't for two decades after he was gone.

God only knows how long it will take to drag ourselves out of the hole Trudeau the Younger is digging for us.

The world financial crisis happened because of deregulation - something that Harper championed.

He could not have been more wrong and thank God he was unable to deregulate Canadian banking to the extent that America did, and expose us to the sub prime debacle.

Not that he didn't try. He just couldn't get it done, which is par for him.

Gimme a phuking break!

Harper did not try to de-regulate the banks in anywhere close to the way the US deregulated. Not even in the same solar system.

Really, you need to get in touch with reality before you post. Your posts are becoming increasingly ridiculous.

Harper is not responsible for the world economic crash.

He isn't responsible for your acne either. (That's sarcasm. Look it up)

Buy The Big Short. Read it. Harper isn't mentioned once.

Do you know who deregulated banking in the USA?

Democrat Bill Clinton.

Do you know who tried to roll it back in 2002?

Republican John McCain, in a bipartisan bill that was defeated.

LEARN SOMETHING.

Harper Derangement Syndrome is strong in this one.

In your dreams maybe. Not in reality.
