‘Terrifier 2′ audiences fainted during screenings in the U.S. last week.
The long-awaited sequel to the 2016 controversial horror sees maniacal mime Art the Clown butcher and main unsuspecting victims on Halloween and the first showings of the movie sparked extreme reactions from audiences, with some cinemagoers vomiting due to its “brutal depictions of horror.”
Producers have issued a warning about the film’s “graphic” content to ensure viewers are fully prepared for what they are about to see.
Producer Steve Barton shared on his social media accounts: “This movie contains scenes of graphic violence and brutal depictions of horror,’ reads the statement.
“Viewers who are faint of heart, prone to light-headedness or have weak stomachs are advised to take extreme caution.
“There have already been numerous instances of fainting and vomiting in theatres. For those choosing to continue, you’ve been warned.”
Some cinemagoers reported seeing people walk out of the movie, or were taken ill during the filming.
One horror fan wrote on Twitter: “A dude actually vomited at my screening. After the movie, I noticed he didn’t make it to the bathroom… all over the floor”
Another posted: “Loved it! So many people walked out; I don’t think they knew what they were getting into.”
One viewer shared a photo of emergency responders attending to his friend after the pal fainted.
He tweeted: “Watching #Terrifier2 my friend just threw up and then passed out. I’ve counted five walk outs so far. I’m loving it.”
#Terrifier2 my friend passed out and the theater called an ambulance. Highly recommended.(sic)”
Another wrote: ” [Terrifier 2] was an amazing gory mess. The guy behind me passed out cold n crashed into my chair, another guy left because he didn’t feel good, I overheard him say and walking out theatre door I heard a guy puking hard loud in the bathroom.(sic)”

Social media photos from 2007 have surfaced showing a candidate for Chatham-Kent municipal council in brownface that he describes as part of a Halloween costume depicting an Al-Qaeda terrorist.
Carson Warrener, 41, who is running for council in Ward 6, confirmed the photographs are of him but said it’s “important to understand the context.”
The Halloween event took place just six years after the 9/11 terror attacks in the U.S., where thousands of people were killed, he said. Al-Qaeda, the terrorist group responsible for the horrific attacks, was still being mocked in the mainstream media, including television shows, movies and late-night comedy skits, Warrener said.
“I dressed up as an Al-Qaeda terrorist to mock that group,” said the candidate, noting his costume included a fake bomb strapped to his chest.
He added the photos were taken in public while at the Elephant’s Nest bar in downtown Chatham on Halloween night.
“I absolutely stand behind it,” Warrener said. “I was expressing my disgust and disdain for Al-Qaeda in 2007.”

Warrener emphasized he wouldn’t wear a similar costume at any other time of the year but said he felt Halloween was the right time and place to express his feelings about the terrorist group.
The Chatham-Kent Muslim Association declined comment on Warrener’s costume. Officials with the Muslim Association of Canada could not be reached for comment.
There has been previous backlash over social media photos of prominent politicians and celebrities wearing brownface or blackface in older photos, including images of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wearing blackface and brownface from about two decades ago.
A photo of Trudeau wearing brownface at an Arabian Nights Gala in 2001 at a school where he used to teach was widely condemned as racist after being posted to Twitter in September 2021. Another photo later surfaced showing the prime minister wearing blackface during a high school talent show.
In 2019, Trudeau admitted to reporters he couldn’t remember how many times he had worn black or brownface makeup during his youth. The Liberal Party would see its majority government reduced to a minority government following a federal election on Oct. 21, 2019.
Warrener said he wasn’t worried about people seeing the 15-year-old photo today. He was out in public in his costume, he added, so anyone could have snapped a photo.
He noted nobody had raised any issues about his costume or the photos during the past 15 years.
“I’m not concerned,” Warrener said. “I own what I do in my life.”
