You actually think Trump suggested drinking bleach ? Okay .

Nope, didn't say that in the post you quoted, said that he suggested injecting disinfectants, which he did. Leading from his statement there /had/has been an increase in calls to poison control centers from people inquiring about consuming disinfectants and if I recall earlier today I saw a news story of a man in Kansas who did just that. Okay?

Exactly and they should treat him as such . Name one president who was treated the same ? Not even that moron whose daddy bought him the presidency was treated like Trump .
You believe the worst of the man , want him to fail and therefore will jump on any so called slight , take his words out of context and generally lap up all Democratic talking points .
But of course you are a free thinker and have your own mind .I just wonder how CNN et/al have brain washed you ?

I think there were a few Presidents in the past who had contentious relations with the media, Nixon comes to mind.

I believe the worst of the man and want him to fail? Actually no, that's not entirely true. Do I want him to fail in his re-election bid? Absolutely. Do I want him to fail in helping the American people overcome this virus? Absolutely not. As far as believing the worst of the man? Well, considering that the world sees him at his worst on a daily basis, it's hard not to notice that. I have often given him credit so no, I don't always see the worst in him, but I rarely see his best.

Yup he calls a spade a spade and some can not handle shovels . He plays the press like a marionette and they fall for it every time, and all you little lemmings fall right along with them .

Why are you avoiding? How is calling a spade a spade when a reporter questions him on a comment he just made in front of that reporter? Plays the press like a marionette? How exactly? Please break that down for me.

Oh now I'm a little lemming? Come on pgs, are you really going to resort to name calling? I thought you'd moved past that. Do you really believe that's effective at all? I mean if that's the best you can do in defending Trump I can live with it. But you should know that you resorting to name calling exposes nothing but a weakness on your part. It's disappointing.

And care to answer the question I posed to you earlier? When a President of the United States stands before a room of seated press and suggests injecting disinfectants into people to do a cleaning, how do you believe the press should have responded? It's a legit question. Care to take a swing at it? I truly am curious as to your response.

Well, I like to say horses ass but potayto, potahto.
Y'know, I'd love to hear a Trump supporter really tell the truth about why he/she supports Trump.

You always hear the same crap. "He tells it like it is." Well, how can you tell it like it is when you can't complete a word, much less a sentence?

In other words, what the f*ck are they so afraid of? Women in the workplace? Black people able to walk down the street without being jacked by the cops? Gay couples in TV commercials?

I'm conservative. Really. My guiding star is Thomas Jefferson's statement about religion: "It neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket." If you want to believe that some Great Big Sky Daddy just wubs you more'n anybody, I'm fine with that. It's when you refuse to serve, or hire, somebody who doesn't agree with you in the economic sphere that I have a problem.

Same with race. I've heard it all. "Wagonburner." "Redskin." "Prairie n****r." Doesn't change the fact that I'm a very well-paid (thank you) lawyer in Washington, DC. I've been called "chief" more times than I can count. I just add 1000 bucks to the bill. If anybody objects, I tell 'em it's a "rudeness charge" and suggest that, if they care to dispute it, I'd be happy to go into court, with full press coverage. Never had anybody refuse to pay it yet. Got a good few people fired though. I believe in free speech. And consequences for what you choose to say.

I believe in multi-level government. Local problems should be handled locally. State or provincial problems on a state or provincial bases. The national government should mostly restrict itself to foreign affairs, cross-state or -provincial issues, and coordinating state/provincial responses to problems.

I believe in free speech, a free press, the right to keep and bear arms with only such restrictions as can be proven to be reasonable and effective, property rights, and the freedom to do what you please with what's yours. With the responsibility for what you do.

Yet I get called a "liberal" as an insult regularly on this board. Exactly what do soi-disant conservatives really want?

Maybe I'll start a thread.

I too get weary from the ever constant "He tells it like it is" response. It's an easy way out of defending him because they know, in most cases, that they can't. I am at a loss as to how anyone can defend a man who suggests the whole disinfectant injection thing. Seriously? How do you defend that?

As to what do they fear? Yes, yes and yes.

I'm a conservative as well, more a middle of the road slightly leaning to that side conservative, but a conservative nonetheless. But never would I be one to the point of clapping in the dark in support of a man as flawed as Trump.

I can identify somewhat with your racial slurs you have dealt with (clever on the rudeness charge) being a woman. We are often readily dismissed because of our delicate nature don't you know. So I have met with some of the same (but different) prejudices that you have. We are called stupid, over emotional, erratic nimble minded people who can only get through life with a man at our side. Not to mention the always lovely c-word which is a delight. All of which is BS, as much as the slurs you have encountered are BS. And only proves others to be closed minded and intolerant and most of all, fearful.

I too believe in all the freedoms you mentioned while being fully aware that none are truly free, but I digress. And yep, I have been called many names on these boards as well as a liberal, which I don't get as an insult. It's somewhere between the turbulent waters of the extreme left and the extreme right that one can find calm and reason.

Yes, perhaps a thread is warranted.

The best thing about Trump is that he drives the left crazy. And he ( probably) hasn't slept with either Clinton.

actually....he does NOT tells it as it is. He tell sit as HE wants it to be. He is fact challenged. with an inclination to gloss things over to present the picture that suits him. Perhaps his supporters want to hear that kind of spin from their leader. Most would prefer facts and reason. even if they are not pleasant. He is full of false reassurances.......mostly self reassurances.
He is inarticulate at the best of times..........wit a limited vocabulary. Maybe that has some appeal to his supporters. His lack of sophistication........Maybe they identify with him and his basic ,crude speaking style.

I can play that card.

The best thing about Trudeau is he drives the right crazy and hasn’t slept with the Cretiens.
