Way crazier people seems to have a lot more hate for Obama, yet he is still kicking.

No they don't want to make him into a MLK. a Martyr.

Remember how he loved having ObamaCare named after him... he would be happy as pig in sh*t to have a holiday named after him.. His vanity is sickening..

Just left him leave office disgraced, worst President in History, Putin's B*tch.

Me too. About the same level I have for a sewer pipe encased in concrete that managed to break.

And the Cons are immune to this, I suppose. There is a reason they call it a 'con" job.

Nah but they haven't had as much time in power yet to get either addicted or good at theft yet.

Give it time.

Negative advertising, of which Trudeau has seen very little, is meant to plant the seed of an idea in the voters' head.

"Justin is in over his head"

If the ad has some truth to it, the target will re-inforce it by his own actions.

As Trudeau is doing SO well.

The Kid (intellectually speaking) is an idiot.

Anyone that would vote Liberal while Trudeau is leader is either also an idiot, not paying attention, or simply does not care about Canada...................

I still have enough faith in democracy to believe the current Liberal standing in the polls will crash before election time.

The negative ads don't seem to be working as well this time. When you are wallowing in your own scandals, negatiove ads start to look desperate. And given that Harper has developed the common perception of being vindictive and angry, the negative ads may backfire.

The problem wiht the Cons is they have nothing to offer but fear: "Don't vote for him, or else!"

No they don't want to make him into a MLK. a Martyr.

Whatever--a few months ago you were going on and on about how you loved Putin.

Russia and Putin are now the moral compass for the world.. the Liberals are turning the world into Babylon .. Gay Marriage, Legalize Drugs, Legalize Prostitution.

Anarchy... let's just make it all legal.. no limitations.. act out all your inhibitions..

Well yeah, some looney might blow his brains out....which leads to the obvious question:

How would we tell the difference??

Did you get hit on the head?

The healthcare plan is called "The Affordable Care Act". Right wing pundits gave it the nickname "Obamacare".

Because the country is swinging left.

Justin Trudeau says Liberal culture has changed

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau says the party's drop in support in the last 10 years or so can be put down to too much navel-gazing.

Trudeau said Saturday the Liberals were more concerned during that time with their own fate rather than that of Canadians.

He said that attitude illustrates why the party went from 172 seats in 2000 to its current 35-member caucus.

"The biggest problem was that we...started thinking more about ourselves than we did about Canadians," Trudeau said at a meeting of the party's Quebec wing in Victoriaville, Que.

He told reporters he believes he has changed that culture since becoming leader in April 2013.

"Despite all the media, the social media, the advertising, it's the work on the ground and the human contact that count," he said.

Trudeau refused to criticize his predecessors' policies over the last decade.

The Liberals have only eight of the 75 seats in Quebec and Trudeau acknowledged they have bridges to rebuild in the province.

Odd, I thought the reason why they dropped in popularity was due to the last two dismal leaders they had (Dion and Iggy) where one tried to introduce a carbon tax that nobody wanted & came off as spineless and a little dumb.... and the other had the personality of a sponge and the cookie cutter argument skills of a robot.

"Not only will Quebecers be present in my government, they will be listened to.

"It won't just be a prime minister from Quebec but there will be ministers from Quebec in strong positions."

^ And there's your party's problem right there. Pandering to specific groups/areas of the country (Thinking about themselves - the party getting more seats - than Canada as a whole) rather than focusing on policies that connect with the majority of Canadians and the nation as a whole, in order to warrant them voting for you.

Do you honestly think that is vanity? Or just rolling with the punches?

I guess I misunderstood your point, but when you say "he loved having Obamacare named after him", I assumed you meant that you meant that he had some involvement in coming up with that name, which clearly he didn't.

If people want to attach your name to your work though, it would be pretty telling if you wanted to distance yourself from it.

.

Actually Dion had a whack of spine, he served very well as intergovernmental affairs minister, and practically wrote the essential Clarity Act.... I like Dion.

As for the Carbon Tax, you do understand Justin wants one as well??

They parachuted in Iggy...........and he was SO vulnerable because of it. Then the fairly right wing Ignatieff tried to play to Canadian liberals.....and failed.

And Justin is the worst of the three by a long shot.

I his vanity is so big he loves the "Affordable Care Act" named after him... clearly.

The YouTube video is just one of many times he stated his admiration of the health plan being named after him.

Time will tell.. he tried to do a good thing for those who don't have Health Care, but I think he didn't go far enough... he gave into corporations and big Insurance companies.

I definitely agree that it is far from perfect, but I also don't think it would have been possible to get any further. Something like a single payer system would make a lot more sense, or a public option like medicare for everyone, but the US simply isn't willing to go down that path.

As for his comments about the name "Obamacare", what else do you expect him to say? He can't act like he doesn't want the program associated with him. If he distances himself from it, it would look like he doesn't believe in it.

I also heard Hudak's campaign has the slogan for hope.

Probably the reason why he's not getting enough support from the Prickly Curmudgeons.

Nothing of substance will change if the Govt does. Western investment will be ramped up even more. No matter who sits in Ottawa the Prairie provines and their abundant resources and will be growing hand over fist.

It's tripartisan.

I have worked long and hard to earn the title Curmudgeon....I consider the appended adjective "Prickly" to be an additional honour.

In my considerable experience, most of those with a lot of life behind them, and with a properly functioning IQ ARE curmudgeons......

Yea, which is why they are so gullible that conservative parties don't break a sweat in targeting them during ad campaigns.

Just listen to whodat's latest pc commercials about crotchety men and women sending e-mails to Kathleen Wynne about their fury with the Liberal government.

DEAR KATHLEEN,

I AM PISSED OFF AND CROTCHETY.

GAS PLANT SCANDAL.
TAXES.
1 BILLION DOLLARS.

WIIIIIND FARRRRMS.

ARRRRRRRRGH

Yours Truly,
