There is a difference between enacting smart policy and legislation and the leftie practice of solving all that ails ya by burying it with cash.

Personally, I don't have a problem with legalizing pot... Tax the sh!t out of it and treat it like booze and smokes

You are more ideologically confused than Walter is.

By the way, you still save a ton of money when you legalize just on dropping prosecution cases alone.

But, hey, if you want to be all lefty about it, then yea, tax it. Don't let a little fiscal conservatism n austerity get in yer way lol

Got a newsflash for y'all.

Justine isn't the first politician to look into and/or support the legalization of pot.

Thought that you might want to know

Legalization doesn't eliminate prosecution ONLY decriminalization can do that.
Legalization is just plain retarded.

Yup, his dad talked about it in '68.
You've really got to get out of that valley for a month or two.

Decriminalization was tabled by Martin. in 2004.

Decriminalization is part of the NDP platform if I'm not mistaken.

Liberals have promised no tax increases, but that doesn't stop them from introducing new taxes.

Either way, if there were any taxes on it, it would only apply if you actually purchased the product.

It can be taxed 100% of grower cost and it still wouldn't come up to dealer mark-ups.
Feds are going to be charging more than street prices for those in the medical program come April 1. How much does the grower make right now as it is?
That's what I'm saying.... Then it can be taxed AKA tax revenue
Something decriminalized has no taxes, no enforcement costs, no prosecution costs, no imprisonment costs, no money spent on operating a tax scheme that will never go where they say it is supposed to go.

Feds wouldn't know their asses from holes in the ground anyhow. If they want to fight crime, take away the incentive.

Decriminalized doesn't mean the dealers get a pass. Controlled sales are taxed sales. Grow-your-own should be left alone

As soon as it is decriminalized it has no value. You can't make money from something that has no value. Legalized retail and tax gives it value.
