Brian McCabe, who was Acting Director of the FBI following James Comey's sacking, has been fired by Jeff Sessions 24 hours before his 50th Birthday and Retirement based on allegations of having withheld information in an internal investigation of the Clinton file and for ordering selective leaks to the media. That will mean a significant loss of pension benefits.
McCabe has accused the Trump Whitehouse of orchestrating his termination in a vendetta against the FBI for initiating the Mueller probe. You only have to look at McCabe to realize he is the consumate bureaucrat. He follows orders. And if he was releasing information it was likely on the instructions of Comey, whom he subsequently was protecting.
Denying someone his pension, especially an apolitical apparatchik like McCabe, who was at the end of long and distinguised career at the FBI is mean spirited to the point of being vindictive and cruel. But that is Trump's modus under attack. He is a barbarian.. Attila the Hun.. he gives no quarter, takes no prisoners, shows no mercy.
This whole Russia Probe has become a Circus of Blood.. a Roman Forum Spectacle. There was No Collusion.. that's a fact, and that's all that matters. It is time to end this and frankly the most constructive way to end this is with a general reprieve. Give McCabe back his pension, give Mueller a reception and his walking papers, end the criminal investigations of all.. Comey, McCabe, Trump and everyone else caught up in this.
Let's move on and get back to governance. Nothing good will come of prolonging this.

Not sure how much a pension should be when it is based on 21 years service.
I think in this case it means he could have retired without penalty if he reached that 50 year old mark but now he will probably be deducted something like 2 % for every short of 25 - that is how a military pension would be reduced for early retirement.
You have to reach 20 years or if you sign on to go to 25 plus years you have to reach 25 or you are reduced 2% a year for every year short of that 25 year mark.

Pensions for the military, police, FBI, DEA, ATF or other paramilitary organizations are usually calculated at half pay for those who have served 20 years and reached 50 years of age. McCabe would have received a full pension based on an average of his 5 most highly compensated years and full medical insurance (a big deal in the U.S).
For a senior executive like McCabe his pension would likely be well in excess of 100K US$ per year; payable from the time of retirement for the rest of is life and transferable to a surviving spouse. In the FBI everyone retires a 50 and can usually find well payed work with private security operations.

No it isn't. It was just CRUEL and DELIBERATE timing........ to make things really ugly . As if being fired is not enough to damage someone with that length of service. This is just more sadistic conduct from the Trump regime. The horrific aspect of this is that Trump is ENJOYING all this. that verifies the sadistic aspect of the man.
If folks can't see this...... little wonder the situation is getting out of control and the trump groupies are sadistically happy with his performance.
