Porter: Doesn't violating someone's rights go against the law ... just as Critter tried to tell you? It is not Critter's fault if your twisting of words draws you to an incorrect conclusion. Name-calling? You get a lot of that for doing exactly that ... then tattle.

So you are saying that electing Harper made some posters here go ballistic and resort to insult and abuse? Well, could be. Election of politicians affects different people in different ways.

There are different tools available for dealing with miscreants, Goober. Reporting is one tool, ignoring is another tool. Reporting has the advantage that if he keeps doing it, mods may take action against him.
Ignoring is OK in some circumstances. But the disadvantage is that he is free to insult, abuse others. It is like rape. Many women don't report rape to the police, they just don't want the resulting hassle. But that leaves rapist free to rape other women.
Misuse of the report button is a bad thing. Read the rules....
