Again what part of this do you not understand????

Do I contradict myself?? Well than I contradict myself!! I am large, I contain multitudes!!!
You have no layers, its just black and white for you. I pity you really. Merryclaire explained exactly how you come across. Yet merryclaire a christian, and her and I are buds. Why? Well she does not try to shove her beliefs down my throat, we can talk of many things and have different opinions. She is more about attraction rather than promotion. I am not a christian, yet we remain friends. I respect her right to believe what she wants and she respects my right to believe what I want. I would never use geroge carlin on her...just people like you who try to use religion to munipulate people with fear and ingorance.

and i didn't read the first page of this thread, but if or if not Jesus actually smoked marijuana, and truthfully i find it extremely doubtful

I believe that your are right. He did not smoke it. It was used in salves. He used it in salves for healing purposes.

merryclaire,

Your right there are two sides to every story and I guess I get frustrated by individuals who talk in circles and when forced to make a stand contradict themselves and then backtrack and then .......

With regards to abortion, if you don't know my position, I'm against it except for the mother's physical health. However, we need to provide every support we can for these woman who find themselves in a situation that is uncomfortable. Both before the child is born and after if the mother chooses to keep the baby. However, killing the innocent is something I don't see as a reasonable solution.

We need a country that has compassion for everyone not just the "perceived" minorities.

With regards to Christ, it also frustrates me when people who are generally anti-religion use the "Christ" factor when it suits them knowing full well that they would be furious if Christians tried to use a faith arguement. I prefer if we leave religious beliefs outside the forum because nobody is ever converted by a religious arguement.

I'm proud to be a Christian and as I've stated earlier, it is a known fact that organized religions are without question the biggest defenders of the poor and the most generous both in time and money. Yet Christians are rediculed on this forum for simply being Christian and "small-minded".

Christians are no different than anyone else. We don't like others telling us what we have to believe which is what much of these forums are dedicated to.

Anyway, I'm sure peapod is a lovely woman as are the other people on this forum, however, many of their arguements aren't logical. Which I'll admit is very frustrating.

They constantly say, don't shove your beliefs down our throats and yet can't see that the abortion, SSM, etc are beliefs that they are shoving down my throat.
