Even Queen Victoria was given it by her doctor to relieve period pain and in the United States it could be bought freely in shops.



It was the invention of the syringe towards the end of the 19th century that marked an end to its widespread medicinal use.


Injecting drugs meant they could take effect a lot faster. Cannabis cannot be dissolved in water, so therefore cannot be injected.
The arrival of other drugs, such as aspirin, also contributed to the reduction in the drug's use.

Cannabis was made illegal in the UK in 1928. It followed an international drugs conference in Geneva when an Egyptian delegate convinced everybody that it was a threat to society and as dangerous as opium.

Not only that but Cocaine fortified wine was one of her favorite tipples. Vin Mariani was a well known 'pick me up' before cocaine was made illegal, the Pope of the time even endorsed it!

the ancient Israelites were largely African and used African medical practices - that is why they used the "herbs of the field" as mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 1:30; 9:3) and why they mummified their dead

small wonder why they used cannabis:








therefore, it should come as no surprise if Jesus's followers used it as well

Can't remember where but years ago I read that the Midwest had far more cannabis fields than corn fields. IIRC they had been planted by early Mississippians who predated the modern Caddo nations. The difference being that corn was created by Olmec agricultural scientists while cannabis grows naturally.

How hemp saved George Bush's life:
One more example of the importance of hemp: Five years after cannabis hemp was outlawed in 1937, it was promptly re-introduced for the World War II effort in 1942.
So, when the young pilot George Bush bailed out of his burning airplane after a battle over the Pacific, little did he know:​

  • Parts of his aircraft engine were lubricated with cannabis hempseed oil;
  • 100% of his life-saving parachute webbing was made from U.S. grown cannabis hemp;
  • Virtually all the rigging and ropes of the ship that pulled him in were made of cannabis hemp;
  • The firehoses on the ship (as were those in the schools he had attended) were woven from cannabis hemp; and,
  • Finally, as young George Bush stood safely on the deck, his shoes’ durable stitching was of cannabis hemp, as it is in all good leather and military shoes to this day.
Yet Bush spent a good deal of his career eradicating the cannabis plant and enforcing laws to make certain that no one will learn this information—possibly including himself.…​

Hmmm. Maybe they should have left it illegal even during the war....

and you wouldn't be here and the continent would still be in one piece and not raped over by so called progress and civilization.
