I think parents should be informed confidentially so they can hold some type of intervention.. and provide their children some behavioural and religious therapy.. as they would with drug abuse. It could save their children from a short life of misery, illness and dissolution.

I think you're the one who needs intervention therapy. You'd rather the kids be indoctrinated and have a long life of misery, illness and dissolution as a religious nut?

Would you recommend the strap or a bludgeon?

If a kid's gay, he's gonna LOVE "religious therapy."

Why is it Kenney's business to demand the outing of where all 16 to 25 year old's park theirs??

Why should any politician care about anyone else's sexuality, as long as the innocent are not being hurt?
There are real issues to deal with an that ain't one of the .

These are all the reasons the children in question should have the right to their privacy and independence on this. Because of the nut job parents who think like you

It's just right wing pandering... like Harper did with abortion when he first became Prime Minister... but once in office he did nothing because he had no legal ground to stand on

He's gay and closeted. Poor guy. If he'd just let it out, he'd not worry about things which are none of his business...

Are you still holding a grudge over receiving the strap in school , poor baby . Every one got the strap in school , if you didn't you had no friends .

Parental rights are his business

that's your opinion, cool beans man.

I think that a teenagers sexuality is none of his or anyone's business and that he's a closeted gay who's trying to figure out how to come out himself.

he may have to lie
:(
god might kill him if he tells the truth

that man would invent a god that would hate that man so much...

it is really quite sad.

If I were going to invent a god, she'd be awesome. She'd look faery like and have real pixie dust and she'd be generous and everyone would be able to fly and glow.:p

Ignorance knows no bounds until it joins hands with hypocrisy.
No its no ones business except Kenny's if he is gay or not, He
is not much for a human being regardless. However when he
wants to condemn others for the things he is himself that allows
for some measure of scrutiny. Personally I think he using this as
a rabid right wing thing where the social conservatives can rally
around and bully someone. And yes there is a difference between
a fiscal and a social conservative. Fiscal conservatives can be
reasonable social conservatives are entrenched in views from the
middle ages, reading literal texts that were symbolic teachings

No secret agenda... it was part of his campaign platform to fight legalized abortion in Canada... it was how he United the broken up religious conservatives at the time to form government... but once he got elected... he quickly backtracked and said there wasn't anything he could do about it.

Kenney is playing the same political game ... that is all I meant.

that's your opinion

No its not. Its reality. I understand that there are people that feel parents should have zero rights when it comes to what happens in schools. Likewise, there are those that believe parental rights should trump the policies of governmental organizations. This is precisely the minefield we expect politicians to navigate.

Teenagers also have rights.
