What we have here is one person arguing with himself. Getting things back on track does not hide the deception.

The pig is a ritually unclean animal, just like a dog, cat, big cat, wolf, monkey, donkey, crocodile, etc. Normally people don’t eat the other listed unclean animals but many people, especially Christians, eat pork. Now you have to ask yourself “why don’t we eat cats and dogs” before you ask “why don’t Muslims and Jews eat pork?”. You may say that the mere thought of eating dog meat makes you nauseous and disgusted, well we get the same revolting feeling when we think about how you people eat pork. When I was younger I used to work as a dishwasher in a restaurant, and in the morning they would prepare bacon and so I remember the revolting smell of it and thought to myself how can people eat such a dirty thing. As you know the pig is an unclean animal which feeds on its own filth. It was not meant to be eaten. In our Islamic religious tradition, we know that the kind of food you eat has a spiritual impact on you too. Those who eat pork begin to take on the attributes of the pig such as shamelessness, excessive lust, gluttony, and low morals.

How about Bear, Deer, Elk, or both types of Beaver are they regarded as unclean?

Deer and elk are clean animals fit for eating, but not the bear, which is a beast of prey. In Islam it is not allowed to eat animals that are ‘beasts of prey’, i.e., carnivorous animals. In Judaism it is not allowed to eat any land animal that doesn’t have split hooves.

Beaver isn’t kosher (since it doesn’t have hooves) and in Islam it is avoided too since it’s considered a rodent by us.

Horse is definitely not Kosher in Judaism. In Islam there is a difference of opinion, some consider it Halal and others avoid it. I personally follow the Hanafi school of law in Islam and we consider the horse to be makruh, meaning it is disliked to eat it. The donkey, however, is totally forbidden to eat.

You're an imbecile, the human animal is filthier than most of the ones you mentioned!

Chicken is considered a bird not a land animal. Chicken is both Kosher in Judaism and Halal in Islam. It is allowed to eat chicken and all birds as long as those birds aren’t scavengers. In Islam we cannot eat birds like crows and vultures, nor can we eat predatory birds that hunt with their talons, like eagles, falcons and owls.

Any so-called ‘Muslim’ that thinks its okay to eat bacon is no longer a Muslim by definition.

I wonder how the thousands of Muslims in Canada who work in supermarkets and restaurants feel about that when they are asked to serve bacon, ham, or salami? None of them have ever refused to serve me a ham sandwich.

Damn... that went right over your head! lol

Are you unaware of the multiple uses of the word taste?

So it seems your OK with gentrification providing people are in tune with different cultures.

Over my head? Don't tell me you were actually trying to be clever. If so you failed dismally. Try posting a reply that can actually be understood.

Serving is one thing, eating it is quite another. Nevertheless, Muslims should avoid working in situations where they have to even touch pork or serve it. They can get a religious exemption to do so with their employer. Muslims working in supermarkets should work in produce and not the meat department. Muslims working in restaurants should work in Halal restaurants and if working in fast food should get religious exemption from their employer and not have to touch bacon or ham.

Personally I think people should move toward a more vegetarian or vegan diet, though it doesn’t have to be strict, and avoid eating meat as much as possible. Traditionally, we Muslims only ate meat on festivals and special occassions. This is not a good trend that people now eat meat on a daily basis.

According to people like Ashton even the name ‘MANitoba’ is probably sexist.

Geez ashton is right manitoba is indeed sexist n' would be banned in ontario pdq, calif like 786 noted sexism in the manhole term for sewer lid and changed it to maintenance hole, I dunno it sounds weird but maintenanceitoba would be even weirder, ittoba maybe? Libs'll need to consult with ndp to get control of these sexist labels.

I already answered your query about the horse, go up scroll and read.

As for chickens, yes sometimes they do feed on filth but that is not their normal behavior. In our religion, chickens which are exhibiting this behavior have to be isolated for three days so that the impurity is removed from their system. Only then can they be slaughtered and considered Halal.

Somehow I think the majority of your posts belong in the religious section of CC. If you insist on posting religious based nonsense in other forums then you are going to continually be picked apart.

Beaver IS a rodent, considered by science.

Muslims are always looking for special treatment and accommodation. I wouldn't hire any of them because of all the baggage they bring with them.

What we have here is one person arguing with himself. Getting things back on track does not hide the deception.
I'm not him. I can't stand what this Jihadist has to say. Why would you think we are the same person?
