I've made my choice, I'm voting for the NDP

Durry the NDP has never been in power Federally so the only one spending like drunken
sailors is the Conservatives. They come to power like the locust, they drive up the deficit
and bulge the debt, then someone like Paul Martin comes along and straightens out the
mess only to make a mess of their own because the represent the same bankers and
big shots. Yes Jack has priorities, he is going to change the course of programs and
spending. If they do things like the old line New Democrats they are socially progressive
and fiscally conservative. Therefore they will clear up the domestic agenda where we
have been lacking for more than fifteen years now. We need to address the social
programs and how we will pay for them in the future. The current government is like the
old story of Jack and the Bean Stock. Hey Steven you are a bright young man here I will
take the magic beans and sell you jets for billions, good boy great buy, now Would You
Like to have Engines in those planes? Harper has lost touch, Iggy never was in touch,
and Elizabeth May is a cruel joke put forth to distract us with comic relief. As I say

Also, I would just like to add that the party line of - 'vote conservative to avoid paying for another election' - is so embarrassingly pitiful.

I don't recall you saying much about the billion spent of the G8/G20 fiasco. Or 35 billion on weapons of mass destruction. Just think how far that money would go toward improving health care and education.I would rather see our money go toward improving quality of life, not destroying it. I would also like to see the 300 million spent on redesigning our electoral system than having to put up with the circus that our party system inflicts on us far too often.
For good reason, I don't know the full details...........all money wasted is bad be it $35 billion, $35 million or 35 cents. Those in the know about the military seem to think the $35 billion is a good investment, so it would be kind of presumptuous on my part to think otherwise, I definitely think the $billion for security at the G8/G20 was a waste- the question how much of it was a waste- I'd sure be a fool to condemn only to find out Harper managed to sell a few bushels of sugar beets overseas. I still think the $300 on this election is mainly a waste, I'm predicting the only change we will see is Layton picks up 15 seats, Iggy loses about the same and Harper still has a minority. And I'm predicting the Rhinocerus won't get a single seat.
Too bad they killed the Rhino. They were the only party in the last 50 years to make any sense.
I have a hard time imagining weapons of mass destruction as being an investment. War has never been good for the common man, just the filthy rich. I say, "Phuk them!" Time to take the toys away from those retarded adolescents and invest in the future of the planet, not its destruction.
Anybody who supports Jack does not understand economics. I am willing to bet that if one took a poll of the type of people that support Jack, one would find that his supporters know very little about business and probably never made it past high school. Most of them probably work for a Government.

I know what you mean, but N.D.P. has run some successful provincial gov'ts in the past on the prairies, but it does depend on sensible leadership.
I'm considering voting NDP because I absolutely despise the Liberals and the Conservatives really don't do anything for me. In my riding it's a battle between NDP & Liberals, I'm probably going to go with the lesser of the two evils.

Well, if we continue to bring debate about important issues to the forefront, we might have less people turning off their brains after voting. Constant awareness is important, imo.

I think Kim Campbell was right. Elections are no time to discuss issues.
You could smoke 90% of voters upside the head with the issues and they still wouldn't have a clue.
How many people have you heard blame the Feds for a pothole on their street? How many rant and rave over Federal politics but skip out on Municipal politics where they can have a direct impact and maybe get that pothole fixed?
