Give the people what they want.

The city's CAO says he'll be making a statement Friday about whether a white nationalist rally will be allowed on city property Saturday, amid public pressure on the city to revoke its permission.

You remind me of Hillary Clinton, who is so phucking stupid she thought the point of George Orwell's 1984 was that we need to follow Big Brother.

I have posted two serious, in depth posts on this thread. You have studiously ignored them. Obviously, you are both inherently disinclined and intellectually incapable of anything approaching serious debate.

The fact that you even reference 1984 is abject paranoia.

I've made my position clear and how it doesn't compromise your freedom in any meaningful way...

unless...

....you really are a Nazi.

A permit was merely for exclusive use of the park.

The rally will go ahead.

The police are aware but as City police Insp. Dan Smith said, "it’s not a crime to have a group gather and rally in a public place without a permit – you can’t get arrested just for that."

Should be an interesting day in Peterborough. Lots of anti-fa groups are planning on holding get-togethers of their own so they can spew their brand of hate speech.

Geez, if we say yes to fair speech, we will miss MF while he is in the camps
He'll probably never type again with his hands all tortured off.

John McCain’s 1969 “Tokyo Rose” Propaganda Recording Released

Yeah the hero who has embarrassed every single soldier who didn't sell out to the enemy.

just like his supporters do.

oh yeah and then there is this too:

The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The five senators – Alan Cranston (Democrat of California), Dennis DeConcini (Democrat of Arizona), John Glenn (Democrat of Ohio), John McCain (Republican of Arizona), and Donald W. Riegle, Jr. (Democrat of Michigan) – were accused of improperly intervening in 1987 on behalf of Charles H. Keating, Jr., Chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of a regulatory investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB).

The FHLBB subsequently backed off taking action against Lincoln.

Hey, tough guy. How did YOU hold out ejecting from an A6 over the jungle, breaking your leg and spending years in a prison camp? You seem to be an expert. C'mon. Tell us as about being in mortal danger (and I don't mean drinking skunky raisin jack in Joyceville).

LOL!!!

The fact that you even reference 1984 is abject paranoia.

Really? Really? You mean this?

You remind me of Hillary Clinton, who is so phucking stupid she thought the point of George Orwell's 1984 was that we need to follow Big Brother.

How the hell does that in any way indicate paranoia on my part?

Let me spell it out: progressives are, without exception, idiots.

I've made my position clear and how it doesn't compromise your freedom in any meaningful way...

Guess what Moron? You are not the arbiter of what tenets of liberty are meaningful to me.

unless.......you really are a Nazi

LOL! I am a supporter of Israel, a libertarian, and I defend the unfettered ownership of arms by the people.

You wish to engage in the destruction of the most important aspect of our liberty: free speech.

Who is closer to the Nazis?

Not only that, he withstood torture and abuse for years on a matter of principle.

He is a man of principle, worthy of respect, agree or disagree with his political stance.

To attack him as a coward from the comfort of your computer station simply identifies you as a pissant.

He is all of that and he is an honourable man in the middle of a viper's nest.

Once you limit it to 'fair speech', then someone has to decide what is fair.

That is what the Anti fathers movement is all about. They have already decided what is free or fair speech. All you have to do is comply.

I never said I agree with the article.

But let's be honest here, if we're going to look at who's actually more dangerous to free speech, it's not millennial art students - it's Nazi sympathizers like Colpy and friends.

Watch out for that car at the next counter-protest.

You are dead wrong. Go read some George Orwell. Fiction but not far off the mark.
