that is not beyond possibility. *given US history))

Probable?? With both parties being pathological liars .....how can anyone know for a fact ??
Only one of them is lying. You aren't smart enough to correctly pick which side if this is your current view. Practice using the word 'hopeless' as that is what chance the US (or Nato or Israel) has in stopping Iran from being controlled like they were from 1953-1979. The other countries that escaped have never gone back no matter how harsh things go from the Bankers using many nations to try and make them fold. Since they didn't and never will it will be the World Bank that is the one to fold, just before Jerusalem is declared to be the city that is destined to run the world, like Israel was when God sent Neb in to remove them as they were as fill of son as the giants who died in the flood.

US Slaps Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei With ‘Hard-Hitting' Sanctions

The US president announced that major sanctions would be put on Iran soon after he stopped the strikes on targets in the Islamic Republic, which were supposed to be a response for the downing of an American drone.

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on 24 June that imposed 'hard-hitting' new sanctions against Iran. They target the country's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, whom Trump called responsible for "the hostile conduct of the regime", and "those closely affiliated with him" in a bid to cut their access to "key financial resources and support". The sanctions also were slapped on eight senior commanders in Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps.
"We will continue to increase pressure on Tehran until the regime abandons its dangerous activities and its aspirations, including the pursuit of nuclear weapons, increased enrichment of uranium, development of ballistic missiles, engagement and support for terrorism, fuelling of foreign conflicts and belligerent acts directed against the United States and its allies", Trump told reporters.
While Trump at first said that new sanctions come in response to the US drone's downing, he later noted that these sanctions would be imposed regardless of that incident. The US president further noted that he continues to hope to strike a new deal with Iran one day, which will result in the lifting of all sanctions.
"We do not seek conflict with Iran or any other country, I look forward to the day when sanctions can be finally lifted and Iran can become a peaceful, prosperous and productive nation", Trump said.
US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said that more sanctions will come later this week, specifically targeting Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and freezing Tehran's access to billions of dollars in various assets.
Zarif stated regarding the new US sanctions that Washington's actions indicate that the so-called B-Team, a group of strong "hawks" in Trump's administration, seeks not negtiations with Iran, but armed conflict.
"Donald Trump is 100% right that the US military has no business in the Persian Gulf. Removal of its forces is fully in line with interests of US and the world. But it's now clear that the B-Team is not concerned with US interests—they despise diplomacy, and thirst for war", he said in his tweet.
Teasing new sanctions on 22 June, Trump dubbed his plan for economic pressure on Tehran "Let's make Iran great again", claiming that once the country inks a new deal with Washington, either bilateral or multilateral, it will become a "productive and prosperous nation".

indeed......but isn't that he American way........of " international policy " as seen though the years
You have no idea what happened in 1979 or the 25 years that led up to the uprising do you?? Yet lack of accurate knowledge doesn't slow down what you post. If it is wrong you are the idiot no matter what the loco collective promotes, and you are wrong on this one.

I'd prefer the Iranian people were empowered to string up the Ayatollah by a crane.
What are you hoping for?
There is a not bad chance that the Americans invented this latest military outrage. They have a very long history of that sort of thing ....like the "irrefutable evidence" of Saddam's weapons of mass destruction as the lastest of many, manysimilar bits of theatre.

The "irrefutable proof" this time is a video of the Iraniian navy removing a limpet mine from the waterline of a tanker. That's proof that they put it there? It's proof that they removed it and any number of ill players may have put it there. It doesn't make any sense that the Iranians would remove it if they were launching an attack or even allow the incident to be videoed in the light of day if they're guilty of something. It is all so slickly set up.

Iranians remove mine from a ship ....PROOF that they're sinking ships!

How blithering is that logic?

there is NO logic to it.

and yes.....the US has a long history of creating a crisis ...........which they use as an excuse for war or some type of military action.........while blaming it on the nation they are attacking. Most of thwe world knows these tactics from America.........There is a reason that the US is frowned on and not trusted. It cannot be trusted. The US has abused the middle east for decades. Then they wonder why these people are against them. ...

The question is : What other gun to the head type of diplomacy" will the Trump regime try??Trump does not get that the "deal making" process in political situations.......is not the same as the shoddy business deals he has been prone to make all his adult life.

Plus he is not capable of understanding the complexities of many of these situations........and because of that.......tends to explain them to himself in very simplistic and inadequate terms. .....and actually believes he understands everything ...

There is an election coming and the Americans get four square behind their Presidents in wartime, no matter how ridiculous they happen to be (remember Dubya?) This is for domestic consumption and short term political gain.

Besides, the Persians are not quite white so .... who cares, eh?

~ Benjamin H Freedman speech 1961~ Big History Lesson ~

Transcripts: http://www.sweetliberty.org/issues/is...

The Truth will stand on its own merit by Benjamin H. Freedman Born in 1890, he was a successful Jewish businessman in New York City. He was at one time the principal owner of the Woodbury Soap Company. He defected from the Jewish movement in 1945, and spent the remainder of his life and most of his considerable fortune, at least 2.5 million dollars, exposing the Jewish tyranny which has enveloped the USA. Freedman had been an insider at the highest levels of Jewish organizations involved in gaining power in the USA. Mr. Freedman was personally acquainted with Bernard Baruch, Samuel Untermyer, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Joseph Kennedy, and John F. Kennedy, and many more movers and shakers of our times.
Weizmann-Balfour relationship:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balfour...
Montagu was the second British Jew to enter the Cabinet, the inner circle of government. However, he was strongly opposed to Zionism, which he called "a mischievous political creed", and opposed the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which he considered anti-semitic and whose terms he managed to modify. In a memo to the Cabinet, he outlined his views on Zionism thus: "...I assume that it means that Mahommedans [Muslims] and Christians are to make way for the Jews and that the Jews should be put in all positions of preference and should be peculiarly associated with Palestine in the same way that England is with the English or France with the French, that Turks and other Mahommedans in Palestine will be regarded as foreigners, just in the same way as Jews will hereafter be treated as foreigners in every country but Palestine. Perhaps also citizenship must be granted only as a result of a religious test."[4] He was opposed by his cousin Herbert Samuel, a moderate Zionist who became the first High Commissioner of the British Mandate of Palestine.

The CIA's Iranian Coup

https://foreignpolicy.com/2017/06/2...ases-details-of-iranian-coup-iran-tehran-oil/
Report

64 Years Later, CIA Finally Releases Details of Iranian Coup

New documents reveal how the CIA attempted to call off the failing coup — only to be salvaged at the last minute by an insubordinate spy.

Persian soldiers chase rioters during civil unrest in Tehran, August 1953. On August 19, 1953, democratically-elected Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh was overthrown in a coup orchestrated by the CIA and British intelligence, after having nationalized the oil industry. The Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was re-installed in the primary position of power. Massive protests broke out across the nation, leaving almost 300 dead in firefights in the streets of Tehran. (Photo credit should read /AFP/Getty Images)
Declassified documents released last week shed light on the Central Intelligence Agency’s central role in the 1953 coup that brought down Iranian Prime Minister Muhammad Mossadegh, fueling a surge of nationalism which culminated in the 1979 Iranian Revolution and poisoning U.S.-Iran relations into the 21st century.
The approximately 1,000 pages of documents also reveal for the first time the details of how the CIA attempted to call off the failing coup — only to be salvaged at the last minute by an insubordinate spy on the ground.
Known as Operation Ajax, the CIA plot was ultimately about oil. Western firms had for decades controlled the region’s oil wealth, whether Arabian-American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia, or the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company in Iran. When the U.S. firm in Saudi Arabia bowed to pressure in late 1950 and agreed to share oil revenues evenly with Riyadh, the British concession in Iran came under intense pressure to follow suit. But London adamantly refused.
So in early 1951, amid great popular acclaim, Mossadegh nationalized Iran’s oil industry. A fuming United Kingdom began conspiring with U.S. intelligence services to overthrow Mossadegh and restore the monarchy under the shah. (Though some in the U.S. State Department, the newly released cables show, blamed British intransigence for the tensions and sought to work with Mossadegh.)
The coup attempt began on August 15 but was swiftly thwarted. Mossadegh made dozens of arrests. Gen. Fazlollah Zahedi, a top conspirator, went into hiding, and the shah fled the country.
The CIA, believing the coup to have failed, called it off.
“Operation has been tried and failed and we should not participate in any operation against Mossadegh which could be traced back to US,” CIA headquarters wrote to its station chief in Iran in a newly declassified cable sent on Aug. 18, 1953. “Operations against Mossadegh should be discontinued.”
“Operations against Mossadegh should be discontinued.”
That is the cable which Kermit Roosevelt, top CIA officer in Iran, purportedly and famously ignored, according to Malcolm Byrne, who directs the U.S.-Iran Relations Project at the National Security Archive at George Washington University.
At least “one guy was in the room with Kermit Roosevelt when he got this cable,” Byrne told Foreign Policy. “[Roosevelt] said no — we’re not done here.” It was already known that Roosevelt had not carried out an order from Langley to cease and desist. But the cable itself and its contents were not previously published.
The consequences of his decision were momentous. The next day, on August 19, 1953, with the aid of “rented” crowds widely believed to have been arranged with CIA assistance, the coup succeeded. Iran’s nationalist hero was jailed, the monarchy restored under the Western-friendly shah, and Anglo-Iranian oil — renamed British Petroleum — tried to get its fields back. (But didn’t really: Despite the coup, nationalist pushback against a return to foreign control of oil was too much, leaving BP and other majors to share Iran’s oil wealth with Tehran.)
Operation Ajax has long been a bogeyman for conservatives in Iran — but also for liberals. The coup fanned the flames of anti-Western sentiment, which reached a crescendo in 1979 with the U.S. hostage crisis, the final overthrow of the shah, and the creation of the Islamic Republic to counter the “Great Satan.”

Iran was also our "friend" during the long rule of Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran. The Shah was brought to power by a British led coup in 1941, lost power, briefly, to the popular nationalist leader Muhammed Mosaddeq in 1953, then was restored to power in another coup sponsored by the CIA. The Shah was notorious for his brutal secret police force, Savak, which was formed with the help of the CIA and Israel's Mossad.
The Shah, loved by the US but increasingly hated by the Iranian people, was no less a tyrant than the recently deposed "Butcher of Baghdad". But he could be counted on to side with the US. Therefore he was our "friend," regardless of his human rights record.
Supporting tyrants has its downside: their victims don't like it, and they are likely to blame us as well. Hence, Iran erupted into a revolution that brought Ayatollah Khomeini to power, and the US was proclaimed to be "The Great Satan". The Ayatollah and the succession of clerics that followed, have arguably taken Iran backward through time, but at least their problems, and solutions, medieval as some of them may be, are of the home-grown variety. For the first time in generations Iran is run by and for Iranians. There is something right about that, no matter how much we dislike being disliked by them.
Having lost our "friendly" dictator in Iran, we propped up another "friendly" dictator in neighboring Iraq who launched a war against Iran. Iraq had its own reasons for attacking Iran, but we facilitated it. To a large extent it was a proxy war. We provided the arms and the AWACS air reconnaissance support, while Iran and Iraq supplied the blood. The war certainly would not have dragged on as long as it did had we not fueled the fire. Nearly nine years of warfare with high tech weapons, countered by "human waves" of Iranians, countered by illegal chemical weapons, left as many as a million dead and several million wounded.

The program is the same, the names have changed. Surrender to anything to do with NATO (UN Military force btw) will see you go through what Libya went through, including the public torture (sodomy with a bayonet) and murder of the leader that had the country as the most modern in the whole area. Who the fuk would surrender to somebody who is going to do that to 'the locals'. The doctrine is from the IMF rather than any UN puppet state that does their bidding.

Is that so? Why does NATO has to invade to see people bayonetted in Iran? It's already happening. Do you want to be the next gay to be hung?
