So I should just put it down to that you are too stupid to learn?

The only thing you have over me so far is your little forum de-rail tactics, trying to insinuate that I'm stupid.
I hardly think that would qualify you as being closer to the truth of God or our universe. Lol

I think you should just put it down on you being full of yourself.

No, that would be you are too stupid to be able to learn about Christianity and the differences between Catholicism and other Christian sects. You paint every Christian with the "creationist" brush. There is a very small section of the Christian population that takes the Bible literally and believes that the word was "created" thousands of years ago.

So creationist was the original religion in the beginning...... I get it. And now as we find out that the original story makes absolutely no sense, since we now have discovered "Fairy's" don't exist, We are adopting new versions to fit our ever expanding knowledge base.

how very convenient. Did I miss anything?

I guess we are both wrong, I, however, did a little more digging than just taking the first link from google.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

So let's take a look at this rubbish
The expression actually originated in Britain in the mid 19th century. Wrong!

Anne Isabella Ritchie, the daughter of William Makepeace Thackeray, (who, if her photograph is any guide, was a studious young woman) wrote a story titled Mrs. Dymond, sometime in the 1880s (interesting)and it includes this line.

"He certainly doesn't practise his precepts, but I suppose the patron meant that if you give a man a fish he is hungry again in an hour; if you teach him to catch a fish you do him a good turn."

Funny how that turns out to be right around when Great Britannia first sailed all the way to china for the first time....... I wonder where they got that saying from lol.

I don't think your any authority on intelligence.
You are priceless indeed.

And you thought it was from the bible... Lol.
Guess who's showing there ignorance tonight?

Well, there yo go... an environmental discussion turns into a religious one. Personally, I think the Earth will do fine, but humans, on the other hand, are hell bent on self destruction. And no, god or Jesus or Allah ain't comin' to save your collective a$$es. "Ye reap what ye sow". The capitalists will take and take until there ain't no more and then what? Ya choke in your own vomit. Oh well! Another failed genetic experiment. First the amphibians died out, then the dinosaurs and not the bipedal humanoids are poised to follow. Ah, the Earth will do fine without us. Don't fret.

and how many billions of years will that take? I'll help you out on that, it's approximately 7 billion more years.

Hadn't really figured on it happening tomorrow! -:)

Why are we going over a lot of stuff that has already been established? We know there is a power superior to man. The Bible is a book written by man, so it's a little more or less reliable than most things written by man. The superior power can have any name we assign it be it "God" or "Mother Nature" of the "Heavenly Father", or anything else. The functionality of the world didn't just happen, there is a "rhyme and reason" for every function. All that we know, it doesn't need to be discussed further.
