Gee I watch while we try to figure out a name for one group or another
Amazing we still don't have a name for some groups. Why not try it,
calling them Canadians.
Decades ago we adopted our daughter some one call her Native, First
Nations and what ever. I call her our daughter and the children are
called my grand daughters sounds good enough for me
I am of Scot ancestry and sometimes friends refer to me as Oatmeal
Savage I don't get offended.
I have more friends of different colors than I can imagine I just call them
friends good enough for me Or is Friend a label or profiling?
Why are we obsessed with labels.

Man if you are around enough Natives, they refer to themselves as Indians all the time and mostly in self derogatory ways!!! The word is probably going to follow suit with the word "nigga"

It's not the name that is insulting, It would be the tone of voice and accompanying adjectives
Savage!

The only issue I have with political correctness is the double standards. The NCAA has issues with the North Dakota Fighting Sioux nickname.....

North Dakota nickname dispute to end | NCAA.com

... But not the Notre Dame Fighting Irish nickname. You gotta wonder why no reporter ever asked the folks at NCAA why the double standard exists.
Probably for the same reasons you ignore blowhards with the same political bent as you, but whine like a bitch at others, lol.

:love8::love8::love8:I don't subscribe to labels and I'm colour blind.:love8::love8:
Cracker, please!

Gotta agree with you there.

I call my nephew...mon p't*t sauvage......and he's not insulted.....And I'm sure you know what he calls me since I'm not status....
We sure get strange looks when we meet in public...lol

That's a family thing though. Should see the looks we get sometimes in public the way my kids and I talk to one another, not so much now but when they were teenagers, lol. Without any context it came off as highly disrespectful.

But you know what? Joke em if they can't take a ****, ya know what I mean? ;) lol
