I've seen if a hundred times.... Funny thing about herding an unco-operative person into the back seat of a cop car. They all act like cats destined for a sink filled with bathwater....

even the seemingly co-operative ones can be hard to get in apparently. People tend to panic when being put into a small cage. lol.

lol... no, just a gentleman (he was pushing a girl on the swing and got knocked over)... but he'd still trump her for the award I suspect... lol.

MANY years ago I had my son at Gettysburg and he wanted to play with his action figures under a cannon. Gosh he was about 31/2. I let him and after a little while he stood up DIRECTLY into the bottom of the brass cannon barrel. There was no crack or loud noise but boy I knew it hurt. I held him as that "silent" cry was getting ready to turn into that scream. Ya'll know what I am talking about.

When his lungs finally caught up to the pain and he let out a screeeeeeeeam!

After I was thoroughly convinced that nobody has screamed on that battlefield like that in 140 years!

When I was teaching the oldest how to play lacrosse, the youngest just had to be involved. It didn't mater that he was 2. It was important, lol.

I was pitching them a good distance, and I tossed a level rocket to the oldest who was way down the feild. Apparently the youngest was paying attention when I told the oldest to get behind the ball. So he did, it hit square in the chest. Lifted him up, dropped him on his ass 2 feet back.

Same thing. I picked him up, and as soon as his lungs had filled. It was like an air raid siren.

There's always the look in their eyes: Help! I'm crying but I can't make a sound. Then ... they find volume
Volume, lol. Yep, that and they seem to carry that one note for about half an hour.

How do such lil lungs hold that much air?

My grand-daughter is a ham on the soccer field. Sometimes it's a toss-up whether she's a player or a cheerleader. In one of her cartwheeling antics, she got between a determined ball and its goal. Ball met back of head. Face met muddy field. She was down long enough to be scary. We just got to that circle of people when Mickey opened up with the howl. For a moment, it was the nicest sound on the planet.

Yes indeed I can relate to that. When you see something like that, or a fall, the scream is so very welcome as opposed to the silence.

Spot on there Wolf.

It is good to know that all you fathers (grandfathers) know about that delayed scream like us mothers (grandmothers) do. Sometimes it's a bit scary for a split second when it looks like they are not going to get their breath and let loose like that and then .....................out it comes!! LOL

The Bear said "If you turn up the audio, you can hear a baby crying. I noticed, but I didn't give it a second thought. Like ES pointed out, Cops 10' away, not much worry about an abduction there.""

The reason the cops were ignoring the baby is they left their tiny handcuffs at the station.
