So we reach equality when we are all on welfare and Wal-Mart is where you go when you want the high-end stuff and Dollorama for the 'poor people'??

Is Flossy still salty?

Let's put it this way... He's followed around by a herd of deer that spend their time licking him

its only CADs going overboard
like lightening the airplane to get over the mountain by heaving out the party ballons

Those CADs all convert into other currencies and add it all up, it's a ton of cash that could have translated into jobs and multiple layers of taxes

It'd make a lot more sense to build the mfg capacity close to the actual power supply and Lord knows that there is a ton of NG all throughout the WCSB.

Hell, You could make a case for the same plants to be built close to Regina that is a stones throw to the US border with good highways and rail access... That would be a no-brainer

You would need massive infrasture projects along with mega distribution tied directly to Western and Eastern ports along with US tie ins. Something like Home | Global Transportation Hub and Regina Bypass Project ? SaskBuilds Once established you eye up markets for manufactured and processed goods and enjoy the good life.

Well I guess two threads that make the CPC look bad is better than one.

The principle that I provided is a general trend that occurs all the time.

I see. We are arguing cross principles here. My principle I'm going with here is facts and reality from the article, which describes the trend of a year long decline in investments due to a variety of factors none of which are Justin Trudeau or the election.

The position that I have taken is based on many examples where investment dollars migrate in (or out) based on the perception of the new gvt... And, absolutely, the variety of factors identified (and some not) play a huge role the capital allocation, but the fact does remain, a newly elected gvt will have a strong impact on the decision by domestic and foreign investor's decisions.

So if some guy wakes up one day and asks himself "what is under my yurt"? Where does he turn for tech and investment to find out? If it turns out he has resources, who does he turn to for developement?

That is the problem in Canada right there. Multiple levels of taxes. And rules. Ain't socialism grand.

You nailed it... That $100 MM will be recovered in multiple levels of taxes, fees, regulations, etc, etc in no time at all.

Almost makes you wonder what the impact would be if gvt had enough wisdom to just run lean to begin with and cut the overall tax burden from the start

Very good plan, but two decades too late. Where are the markets you imagine capturing twenty years from now when your manufacturing base is rebuilt?
