Do we know that it's not?

I said to correct me if I'm wrong, Walter- not give me another one of your mindless red negs. That's a retarded trick I expect from Cannuck! I don't know all the answers to these climate change theories, but you obviously think you know more than I do which I don't doubt, so if you can't enlighten me, I'd be glad to hear it, if you can't put a lid on it!

Yes we do. The question you need to ask is "why are my fellow humans so f-cking gullible"?

Could it be because they see glaciers receding and ocean ice melting and ice floes disappearing and earth in Greenland where there was only ice and snow before?
If the scientists are wrong there's little harm done, if the naysayers are wrong- good bye planet! :)

Do you have any recent articles that show any of those things are actually happening?
Question, If Greenland was collecting a lot of snow in the interier would the extra weight cause a few more icebergs as the glaciers start calving when they are pushed away from all the new weight??

I don't worry so much about the earth surviving as the people on it! :)

Northern Ontario,
I quit reading when I read the 97% of climate scientists That has been debunked twice in this very thread...
Who was it that said "if a lie is repeated often enough........."? oh ya....Gobbel
You don't need to buy carbon credit......the cost of every subsidy hat the government is giving the scammers will be paid by you, if not in taxes, it will be in the increased cost of everything you buy...
That has happened already in Ontario with hydro because of the windmill and solar panel craze!

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they only taking money from those who contribute to it in a substantial way? I think we have to fight this thing or eventually it's going to destroy us (or at least our descendants) No?
So giving more money to our government's general revenue fund is going to change what ?
Yeah taking more money from those who contribute to it is the taxpayer .
Giving money to tin pot dictators to fill their Swiss bank accounts is going to change what ?

Thanks but that hockey-stick graph has been shot down as being wishful thinking and/or an out and out deception with no basis for real facts to support it. Thanks for trying though.

My knowledge of Climate change is very limited but my attitude toward it is prepare for the worst case scenario and we are more likely to be safe rather than sorry. I can't really think of an argument against that other than immediate gratification. :)

You have to start looking at the big picture and what will benefit the most people......................like the entire human race. :)

The worst case would be eastern Canada getting much colder. (meaning mass migrations to the west and the south) Global warming would extend the growing season and make the area go further north, not a bad outcome and there would be no reason to try and stop it.

Is it the first time? How old are those glaciers? When did they reach the maximum size and why?

A raise of 2 degrees Celsius will not kill off the whole human race . It will probably not even be noticed by most people . That is what they are talking about 2 degrees .
By the way the glaciers have been melting since the ice age .

I think what is more important is the impact it has on the world as it is now. The human race now numbers close to 7 billion which far exceeds what it was on any previous occasions. The subject is just so intricate that I think it's best to let the scientists deal with and advise us accordingly. Most of the scientists seem to be on the same page. Do you ever listen to "Quirks and Quarks" with Bob MacDonald? He had a pretty convincing guest on a year or two ago. It would take me the rest of my life to achieve the knowledge that guy had and personally I have better things to do.

How much will sea level rise over a 100 years of 2 degree increase? What will happen to Amsterdam and Miami and New Orleans?

New Orleans should be under water right now. It is artificial damns and levies which are keeping the sea out. Also the Missisipi river has been artificially forced to end at its current location. Pre-man, it has moved quite freely down there.

Also how much has the sea levels actually increased in your lifetime? Theoretically there has been significant alleged warming and it should have increased some. You will find it hasn't. Its Climate Change fear mongering 101. It works on some weak minded individuals (such as yourself?).
