What you say sounds good Grumpy until you look at the difference between now and the 1600s.......................about 63/4 billions of people. Just visualize the world as a room in the winter time. You put one person in the room, the temp. inside the room is changed very little, but put 100 people in the same room!!!
The 1600s saw the "Mini-Ice-Age" which saw the temps drop significantly from what they were before that in a lot of places in the northern hemisphere. Climate has been changing long before man was doing anything industrial. It will continue to change regardless how much CO2 we use or how much carbon tax you pay.
