Ok, I'll be serious:

The best traits in mankind are found in their ability to be loving and caring, both for their own immediate family and to strangers who are in a worse position than they themselves. We find examples of this every day. For whatever reason, Canada seems blessed'/cursed with food banks, and they get their supplies from people who CARE. Even during the great depression, few people would turn a stranger from their door, the caveat of "there but for fortune" or "do unto others", applying.

The worst............just the opposite of the above.

Now, laugh at the first post fer christ's sake, eh.8O

Best attribute: the instinct of self survival, which is hard wired into all the species.

Scott Free,

Frontal lobes are a double edged sword, are they not? They are responsible for compassion and violence. Isn't that why frontal labotamies were invented? Too bad they are illegal now. I know a few candidates.

My picks would be: good - ability to reason; bad: ability to believe in a religion (anti-reason)

Cliffy,

I have been reading a lot of your threads and you are definitely pushing the envelope.
Perhaps no-one has taken you on as a project is because you are what we call a `Newbie`.

Yet I offer you this advice (with all due respect to you), for a while take it down a couple of notches and you might find that you will have more of your threads responded to.

Sincere Regards,
scratch

Scratch, I know Cliffy quite well, we have debated often in canada.com forum. I don’t’ think he is pushing the envelope at all, many times I agree with him. As to frontal lobotomy being illegal, obviously that is a sarcastic comment.

I find his posts well reasoned and quite reasonable, not pushing the envelope at all.

scratch,

Do you thin I push the envelope any more than Vinni or MHz? I don't think so. I have pondered much of this stuff for over forty years. I have earned my wings on many occasions, many forums and personal debates. If some are afraid to debate me, I would have to conclude that their view point is shaky at best.

Debate requires opposing views. I take my opposition a little farther than politically correct.
