The term Great Britain was first used during the reign of King James I of England (James VI of Scotland) in 1603, to refer to the separate kingdoms of England and Scotland. on the same landmass, that were ruled over by the same monarch. Despite having the same monarch, both kingdoms kept their own parliaments.

Yeah. But they didn't bring goodness, did they? And I hope you aren't comparing the British Empire to the evil Nazi Empire.
Just like Britain didn't. It's all perspective.

Yeah? Try telling that to those who wrote the US Constitution; or based Canada's legal system on Britain's system, the best in the world; try telling that to those Indians, and others, during a cricket match.

The first Constitution was in Ukraine back when the Spanish landed in North America.

The world's oldest constitution is San Marino's, so it's an epic failure on your part.

The US Constitution, one of the world's shortest, was influenced by the British constitutional system. That's just one of many things why the Yanks should be eternally thankful to the British Empire.

Ah ha! So it wasn't british then was it? The first European Constitution was indeed in Ukraine in 1710. Who based what from who?

They very very first Constitution was written by a guy named Mohammed. Ever heard of him? Was he british?

I never said it was.

I think the Sammarinese - who have the oldest written constitution in the world, dating back to 1600 - would beg to differ.

And we are only talking about WRITTEN constitutions. There are documents in Britain's constitution which date back even earlier than San Marino's, such as Magna Carta (1215).

How do you know the US didn't copy Ukraines?

Because I read.

The only way the US Constitution was based on Ukraine's rather than Magna Carta was if you did a Sam Beckett and travelled back in time and changed history.

A copy of the Magna Carta which, thanks to the British Empire, influenced the US Constitution, in the National Archives in Washington D.C.

You do? Is that why you weren't sent running with you tail between your legs yesterday?

I wasn't sent running with my tail between my legs yesterday for the simple reason that I have yet to be defeated.

British actually. Don't flatter yourself. It was the Lancashire Fusiliers.

The same ones that fled before Baltimore. Whipped soundly... that taught the brits a harsh lesson.

We won more battles than you did. And even then you had to have the French, of all people, to help you out.
