After 15 happy years with his wife, Alan Jenkins decided it was time for the ultimate expression of love.

So, determined to prove his devotion, he had a lifesize image of her face - along with those of their two daughters - tattooed on his back.
The painful procedure took 20 hours and cost £870.

That's so sweet eh?

But wait, there's more....

Unfortunately for the besotted Alan, it also backfired on a monumental scale after Lisa, 36, absconded with a 25-year-old Latvian hunk she had met at work. Ha!

Husband gets £870 life-size tattoo of his wife - then discovers she is having affair

Speaking last night, the jilted steelworker, said: "It's a real sickener. I thought she was happy.
"I had it because I thought we loved each other - I feel very betrayed."
Lisa met her new love, fitness instructor Kaspars Gavars, at work and now intends to move him into the family home in Port Talbot, South Wales, - once Alan has moved out.
"I didn't plan to fall in love with Kaspars - it just happened," she said. "And I never wanted Alan to have my face tattooed on his back in the first place."

Yes, there they are alright, the lovebirds.

But you smell a rat you say? Hmmm, she's wearing the same blouse. But none the less, it's in the paper so it's gotta be true no?

Alan, who has two girls Daniella, ten and Jade, 15, only grew suspicious after Kaspars started giving Lisa lifts to work.
He could be forgiven for wanting his wife off his back for good, but despite his heartache, he has no plans to have to tattoo removed.
"Lisa may have left me but she'll be on my back forever thanks to the tattoo," he said.
"But I've still got plenty of room on my chest if I get hooked up again.

There aren't enough o's in LOSER to do this wanker justice. Oh yeah, she's a bitch too.

LOL ... the new beau looks like he could be her kid. Yikes.

Interesting topic, though. I have tattoos that are irrevocably tied to people in my history. A name in Chinese characters, an initial, a tattoo that two of us got together before the, um "friendship" imploded.

Although these three tattoos no longer apply to my reality, I don't regret them for a moment. The people who inspired them had a huge impact on me and my life. They all represent times and relationships that made me who I am today.

I very much agree with you, Niflmir, particulary for younger people. Regretting a tattoo is a most unfortunate circumstance and the only ones you know for sure you'll never regret are (a) hidden from public view and (b) relate only to ones self.

I've been lucky, though, to have tattoos that I wouldn't change. I always recommend that anyone wanting a tattoo select a design and then wait a year to get it. If it's appropriate to your life after a year, it's meaningful enough to carry a lifetime. Even if it is other person inspired.

Their eldest daughter looks just like one of my cousins. An absolutely striking resemblance. Strange how this things happen...

 Looks like the photo was taken in same place too, very similar background. And the quality and texture are also eerily similar.

Sorry - but this is a joke - I didn't check Snopes - but look at Lisa's growth of new hair along the part - the blonde hair is at the same length at the part as it was in the picture with hubby and kids...as well as the same blouse mentioned before.

Unless they are a nuclear family all living together - I think we're being punk'd.

Guess they all met together in the park to pose for the pics, just one big happy family.

Not to mention, she's still wearing her wedding ring and engagement ring. ;)

I also cast my vote for fake story.

I've worked most of my life in the arts, and I've several tattoos - all of which can be hidden by a suit when the need arises. They are personal to me, and after 25 years for the oldest ones, not a moment of regret.

Now, as to the afro I had permed in the early eighties, that still makes me cringe.

All he has to do is restrict his future dating to girls named Lisa. Plastic surgery can make the new Lisa look like the old one.

Perhaps Lisa only has 1 dress.

The photos in the OP look worked on. Does she only have 1 outfit?
