How can we get rid of our sinfulness?

And so Aj, what about the point of that post--how can all the protestants-non-catholics-be right since they all say they are lead by the Holy Spirit and yet all have different takes on the same thing? Why haven't you answered this question yet?

One of the things that the Holy Spirit does not: and that is to discriminate. He deals with every body where they are at. (Catholic and non-Catholics)
Consider the Holy Spirit as our life training instructor. We have to go through trials and tribulations in this life, and He is there to help us to learn and understand how to overcome the sufferings of the flesh in order for our souls to be victorious.
That is why He is called the comforter
He, being God's Spirit is aware of all conditions that we go through, makes Himself available to us the instant we call.

I am a citizen of the United States of America, and if a citizen, then I have all the rights given me by the constitution.(Debatable, of course)

But my point is that if the USA would impose restrictions on my living conditions, then I'm damed if I don't comply.
But because I have certain promises of freedoms I can practice, I am not under bondage to express my free will.

Many religious organizations limit their members to set rules and practices, that if they struck out on their own: are condemned. That is called being under bondage.

When Jesus was here there were but the Jewish High Priests who carried the burden of the law as given to them by Moses, therefore, Jesus did not fit in to their theology. Hence, they took care of Him by having Him crucified.
Don't think that that is all to that story, because there are many deeper truths that are not revealed to us unless the Holy Spirit reveals them to us.
At present, you all are receiving new light that perhaps some of you have never heard of before.
This new light had been because I have sought after it with a passion to know God with all my heart.
So now, I share this with you all, and leave the Holy Spirit to touch whomever it sees fit to do so.
I have no control over that, only to do what is right by the Spirit of God which is in me.
There is a point in one's life where after many years of trial and error, researching, seeking and experiencing many things, that one's faith exceeds the youthfulness and goes on to maturity which is the goal that is sought by the Father as we live here in this environment.

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Wisdom does not come instantly, but only by experience, that when we understand, we make the right choices. Is: exercising wisdom. (Let me emphasize that is a Godly wisdom and not as man's wisdom)

So, let all religious/religions exercise their appointed state, from that then, will the Holy Spirit selectively pick out those to whom are appointed to teach, instruct, comfort, help and exercising in action those Godly attributes to a lost world.
So as the world may see Jesus in us, and be encouraged to seek Him themselves.

That's the stage I am in right now, that is why I don't discriminate. I share Jesus with anybody, whether they want Him or not, that is not for me to decide.

I am instructed by word and Spirit, to love my neighbor as my self. The neighbor is whom ever my God puts across my life's path. Be it friend or enemy.

When the world gets to that point as a whole, then and only then will we learn war no more.

The world of mankind is like a baby born and having to grow up, through trial and error and good instruction, reaches a point of maturity of Godliness that love rules and the end of hate, envies and wars are no more.

If you look at the beginnings of Christianity, you will see a progression, through all it's trials and error, yet growing in maturity and numbers, that not in this life time but some where in the future, that the world through evolution of thought, will achieve the intended goal the Father has set.
There are those who resist, but that is also good. If you could just understand that evil is also an instructor and if it weren't for evil, how then could we learn what good is?
Don't misunderstand me, evil is not good, but it is to our good that evil is present.

Why haven't you answered this question yet?>>>levesque But I have been answering it all along. But with great patience and long-suffering, I am giving every opportunity for those who wish to learn and understand what the love of God is, and not according to what mankind says it is.

God knows each one's hearts, and He knows when and where to reveal Himself personally.

I can just share my views and experiences with love.

Peace>>>AJ

Im sorry AJ your wrong and you have no right to judge that. L Gilbert has more spirit than some people that call themselve "men of god"

True, selfactivated, spirit of the carnal mind, yes! Many do. The Spirit that confesses Jesus is come in the flesh and is the Son of the living God that forgiveth the sins of the world is the standard.
By those standards then are we judged by. Now please understand that, that judgment is not to eternal condemnation, but only to the lack of God in the flesh.

I' am trying to explain things as simple as I can, because many don't have a clue as to what I am saying.
But,if you will, let me be a source or a battering ram by which you all may hammer out any questions you might have concerning what I have learned about God.

I don't care who you are or what you believe, I will converse with you and perhaps, I may be of some help.

What's a carnal mind? What are its attributes, characteristics, etc? Is it evil? Does it do nothing but conjure up thoughts of kill, rape, plunder, and pillage?
So, it isn't that people refuse to sin that we're judged by, but judged by whether we believe in gods and "saviors" or not? Friggin silly if you ask me.

'Twere me as a god, I'd prefer the harmless non-believer over some pompous ass that believed but sinned every day.

Carnal mind is limited to what is avialable to the flesh. If your a scientist, then your understanding is all that you know about what the earth is.
Now concerning moral things, God has instilled in each one of us the ability to know and understand Him.
But when we don't take advantage of that privialge, we are left to our own imaginations.

What is the deterant to want to rape, kill or to harm someone or thing? Just because, or because God has instilled a sense of wrong in us, even if we don't know Him?

God has to have an in, in our lives to transform our hearts to rule the flesh in righteouness.

I'm not sure you can understand what I just said, but just as the body without the spirit is dead, likewise, the soul without Gods spirit is also dead. Not dead physically, but spiritually dead.

So being, one can live a life of existence, but at our own pearl, for all we know is what the world has to offer. And I can truely say, this world ain't kind in any way shape or form.

So, God is the best alternative for us creatures of wrath.

Didn't we only discover right from wrong after eating from the forbidden tree?

Wrong. There is no such thing to do any instilling. :D
So you understand the earth and your god? Funny, a while ago you said it was a mystery. How can one understand a mystery? As soon as something is understood then it isn't a mystery anymore. See, it's contradictions like this that give people who actually think doubts about the realities of fantasies breated by imaginations. I don't imagine myself taking advantage of any "privilege of knowing and understanding any gods or other fantasies" but I can still imagine them. :D

What is the deterant to want to rape, kill or to harm someone or thing? Just because, or because God has instilled a sense of wrong in us, even if we don't know Him?
lol Just because works for me. If I feel like tea, I don't need anyone to instill me with the urge to have tea instead of coffee; I feel like having tea. Different flavor, different appearance, different result, etc. If I'm thirsty it's because my body has dehydrated a little bit. Thirst is a chemical process. The preference whether to have pop, tea, juice, coffee, is a matter of personal choice and dependent on the moment.
I don't feel like harming anyone because the doing it bothers me. It's called conscience, not god. I wouldn't want to be harmed so I reason it out that no-one else does either. Besides that, harming others is against the law.

God has to have an in, in our lives to transform our hearts to rule the flesh in righteouness.

I'm not sure you can understand what I just said, but just as the body without the spirit is dead, likewise, the soul without Gods spirit is also dead. Not dead physically, but spiritually dead.
Well, I'm not handing out tickets to imaginary beings so they can have "an in". Again, there is absolutely no evidence for the existence of gods and other superstitions; that includes ghosts (holy and otherwise), spirits, etc.

So being, one can live a life of existence, but at our own pearl, for all we know is what the world has to offer. And I can truely say, this world ain't kind in any way shape or form.
I don't have any pearls. Gave a bracelet of them to a girl once, though.
Of course our world isn't kind. It isn't angry, it isn't jealous, it isn't happy; it's a planet, a globe with life on it. Attributing human emotions to it is silly. "Oh. look at the embarassed rock over there. It's all red-faced".

So, God is the best alternative for us creatures of wrath.

Peace>>>AJ
Then I guess I'm not a creature of wrath. I'd rather not be anyway. I'm a creature of happy and compassion and too-busy-to-be-anything-but-busy and so on.

Think alittle bit there Tonington, as a child when did you start to comprehand the difference between good and evil?
That is the tree of knowledge of Good and evil that we all are subject to partake of. But there is also a mention of another tree in the midst of that same garden that was also made avialable for us to partake of.
And that tree is the tree of life. Guess who is that tree? One guess?

and, "you" because I didn't.

I thought this forum was for each others opinions, and not for people to "cut and paste" longwinded
articles.

Look I didnt say a word other than condencing the Gospel into a few sentences for you. Its no where near as long as most articles on the site and it was given to AJ. You didnt read it fine but dont come down my throat because We did! AND descussed it. Do I need to check with you what material I post?

It also says we were no longer permitted to eat from that tree when we were kicked out. Gen 4:22

I didn't really know right form wrong til my parents told me these things. At least that's how I remember it.
