Both Hartly and Torts should have got lengthy supensions
On this we will have to agree to disagree. -
(I know I get pissed off when people start "playing games", so I can understand John's reaction)

I understand more than you think. I just don't think Hartley should be penalized for "playing the game". It was torterella's choice to react the way he did. Hartley can't "make" anyone do anything.
no he can't, but he did something himself, hence, the fine, that is the only thing you can't see, as
you don't understand the game too well, and how coaches use each other.
a funny little part of the bench argueing was burrows. he was pretending
to drink out of his glove, taunting shane o'brian, because o'brian had quite
areputation when with the canucks of visiting the 'roxie' pub often, and
tipping back too much booze, so, when they show replays of the bench
arguement, burrows is funny.
Like I said, I understand, I just don't agree.
So, Burrows taunting O'Brian is just hunky dory, but hartley taunting torterella, by fielding his 4th line is not. True to form.
Like I said, I understand, I just don't agree.

so if you understand hartley's intentions, you then agree with him, i don't understand that.
are you still nieve enough to still think that he wasn't deliberately trying to start trouble?
or, do you agree it was a good idea to try to start trouble, or would agree with anything he
did because he is a calgary coach, just don't know what you understand or don't understand.
try to explain yourself.

with torterella's suspension, coaching will change.
sullivan, who was totally responsible for the defense, will now take torterella's spot, and be
responsible for all of the forwards.
gullickson, who has been totally responsible for the 'power play', will now have more responsibility,
by taking over the defense, as well as the power play, good luck with that.
the good part is that, the next few games are not the top end of the nhl for awhile, so games shouldn't
be too overwhelming, and hopefully canucks can pull off another win tonight.
Good road game for the 'Nucks tonight. The only fault I can see is no scoring from the veterans. Luongo is text book unless he just gets too overwhelmed with too much traffic right in front of the net.
Lots of "evening up" in the standings tonight!
The Jets just defeated the Mighty Ducks. THAT # Juan is why there is still hope for Canucks to win the Cup. You just can't write off any team. Who would have thunk that would be the team to beat the Ducks at home? -![]()

JLM you must have missed the Canucks hanging for dear life onto a one goal lead against the Oilers tonight. The canucks
are just not consistant enough to be a contender. How many good years have the Sedins got left? Two? Three?
I watched all three periods although I did miss Kassian's goal (would just have to happen while I helped my grand daughter on the computer for two minutes. -"Hanging on for dear life" was probably an apt description of about 30 - 40 seconds of play, Edmonton could just have easily been beaten by worse than they were.
and edmonton could just as easily have won the game, if luongo hAdn''t stood on his head with those
saves, that had goal written all over them.
As old Yogi would say............................... -![]()

Yes they could have and Luongo was the difference. The defense seems to back in on their goaltender until i becomes absolutely neccessary for the goalie to corral the puck to settle things down.
A little off the subject but I like Lain. He's young, He skates and carries the puck pretty well and he can intimidate some players. At six foot six he would intimidate me for sure.
