Is that what happened to his face? I often wondered about the scar and thought maybe a car accident or a skate blade - did he play hockey before he coached????
I actually don't know what happened to his face, I was just being a smart ass.
I'm sure he must have played hockey, and I know he has a sports type of degree from university,
whether its sports medicine or sports psychology, i'm not sure.
I'm glad vineault is canucks coach, hope he stays for a long time, i've seen many coaches come
and go for vancouver, and he's the best.
I still say neither of those teams will present much of a hurdle for the Canucks. They just don't play consistently well whether it is coaching or individual player mistakes, I can't see them holding up to the depth of the Canucks. Just hope whoever wins, and I am still cheering Boston on, makes the series an exciting one to watch.
GO, CANUCKS, GO! :canada:
It seems that way, but I can't even go there, I have to see a game first, it is too easy to make
those comparison from our vantage point, but I want to see the games, and see if that is the case,
they are all good players, and when two teams come together it is a dance between two styles and
types of players and coaches, and how two certain teams play against each other, doesn't tell us just
how those two teams will play against other teams.
The goalies are 'key' as to how the games will play out.
I have listened to two different interviews with bieksa, what an intelligent and congenial guy he is,
he talked about his home life between games and the different series, and said its not different from
anybody else, he is in the middle of moving right now, packing boxes up and down the elevator and
going through the hectic business of moving, just like anybody does.
(I think his house and my house are probably quite different) lol, but thats OK, I haven't had to
go through the gruelling life of a hockey player since I was a kid, twice he had his leg sliced open
by a skate blade, which took months to heal, and caused him to have to retrain all over, and literally
start over, only to hear the fans criticize him because he isn't playing at top form.
Playing in the vancouver hockey market is not easy either, such demands on a player to play at the
top of their game, every game, or the fans sulk and whine and demand you be traded, and call you
names and whine again about how much money you make, all of that is worth lots of money in my opinion.
If it was me, I would announce to the fans once a week, what they could do with their demands on my
job, 'shove it where the sun don't shine', (sideways). lol
