canucks came out with one point against phoenix. Very very
tight checking game, coyotes don't play anything like they
did under Gretzky, Dave Tippet runs a very structured team,
and they can check, check all night and wait for their
chance, and so can the canucks if they have to.
Went to a shoot-out, raymond unlucky, as his shot rang off
the post, then they scored one to win.
Bieksa went off the ice injured, seems like his foot or
knee, not sure.
We go to St. Louis on Thursday, and we have a bone to pick
with them, so lets go get em.

Canucks/St.Louis this afternoon, 4:00 I think

Bieksa is lost indefinitely, nasty cut on back of his
leg, so I guess Rome will take his place.

St. Louis has had our number this year, although they have
a terrible home record. Hope Canucks can keep that going.

Yep, I have a feeling for once they are going to beat St. Louis- it's a must win situation.

Canucks played well last half of the game tonight to fight
back from being 3-0 down, to win 4-3 in overtime.

On to Dallas

GO CANUCKS GO

Hi Talloola- I watched the game with my brother-in-law and to be honest we'd both pretty well given up hope by about the 15 minute mark of the second period, and then the thought struck me that I told you they would win tonight, right then some miracle happened, anyway it ended well, so a lot of sweating (by lots of people) was for absolutely nothing. I thought this game was crucial, you can't be sendign a message to the big teams that the weak teams are cleaning your clock at the mid point of the season- so anyway they finished the year on the right foot. Too bad that Cgy. also won tonight. Happy New Year.

The canucks did a slow build up to the end of that game,
got better and better, and deserved the win, and the junior
game was amazing, what a battle, the player who missed the
last shoot out goal is jordan schraeder, the canucks first
round pick from last season.

The Dallas game on Saturday is early, check your schedules.

Canucks played a real good game today, had to hold off
Dallas in the last period, and Luongo had to rise to the
occasion in the last period as well, (that is his job),
and they won the game 2-1

Henrik Sedin is now tied with Thornton for the points lead.
I hope we are all giving him the respect he has earned,
as he quietly is playing like an elite top of the heap
player, along with his brother.
Two years ago I would have traded them in the blink of an
eye, glad no one listened to me.

Canucks are one point behind Colorado in Western Division

Tuesday at home against Phoenix I think.

OK, I had it backwards.

Thornton just got a point, so henrik is back in second place, oh well, he'll have to climb back up there again.

Toronto lost to Calgary 3-1

Canucks had fun tonight, funny loosey goosey start for both
teams, within 10 minutes it was tied at 2, then canucks
went ahead quickley after that, and didn't look back.
7-3 canucks, burrows had a hat trick, and everybody played
well.
Henrik is back on top of the scoring race, tied with Thornton, but is ahead, as henrik has more goals.

Daniel and Henrik had 3 points each tonight.

Phoenix at home on thursday.

No player in the NHL is having more fun right now than Alex
Burrows, another hat trick tonight, and also henrik is now
3 points ahead of Thornton in first place in the scoring
race.
Luongo played great, kept us in the game in the second
period, when we were badly outplayed, but we came storming
out in the third period and won the game 4-0

We are now tied with Calgary for first place in northwest
division, and guess who we playing on Saturday, CALGARY
FLAMES, so this coming game will be a good one.

Canucks are now on top of the north west division, same
points as calgary, but more wins, and tomorrow if we
do things 'right', we can go ahead in points as well.

It is only half way through the season, but we have
struggled and scratched our way back up, from lots of
hardship, and that makes a team mentally tougher, and
more determined 'not' to sink down again, bring Calgary
on, and any other team who thinks they are 'it'.

We do have some defencemen 'down', bieksa will be about
two months, I heard today that Salo can't see out of one
eye, and Rome has a slight concussion, they have brought
another defenceman up from Manitoba and we also have
Lukowich, so we're ready.

What a great game, Louie kind of sieved out right at the
end, but hey, that's life, theres always next time, and
the rivalry continues on, just the way it should.
We really missed our two defencemen who are injured, made a
difference.
Also, it would have been better for us if Calgary had of beaten
Columbus last night, Sutter reemed them out good, and they responded.

Was like a playoff game.
