its funny how teams 'get up' for certain other teams, and can't seem to for some.
it is very obvious how the wings were ready for canucks the other night, they were as up as any
team could be starting a game, then gradually settled down to a more normal pace after the
first period, THEN a couple of nights later the wings played florida and were beaten, a prime
example of playing a team they didn't have much respect for, and the 'fight' in the team just
wasn't there, they just went thru the motion of playing without the intensity needed to win.
tonight canucks were feeling that way starting the game against pittsburgh, and the battle and
determination to be the victors was obvious throughout the game, and the pens couldn't produce
much of anything. go figure.
its not becAuse one team or the other is far and above 'better', becAuse all of them are capable
of winning on any given night, it is the mindset, but when both teams feel 'up' for a game, then
it is a doozy.
i didn't expect the canucks to lose tonight, but i knew they shouldn't take penalties, becAuse of
the status of pittsburgh's power play, but even that looked feeble tonight.
pittsburgh will be ready next time, a bit of an arrogant group who thought canucks were just another
run of the mill team, ho hum, just go thru the motions, and win. um sorry, doesn't work that way.
if you or any team doesn't come to play, chalk up a loss and go home.
teams playing at home should have the advantage, especially if the opposition has travelled a long
way, and have played a couple allready, didn't work that way tonight, but might as the road trip
goes along, it is very tough, 7 gAmes on the road isn't a piece of cake, and if desjardin can keep
them sharp and fresh all the way through, he will be a hero.
Yeah, it's a tough life!
i know, i'll have to endure, or maybe i will just go to a movie or something exciting, like
clean out the bathrooms, or wash the garbage cans, there is always an alternative choice. lol
