canucks look very sharp now, rust is gone, and schroeder is such a bright light, playing great

and was first star tonight with 2 goals.

schneider played very solid, along with many other canucks.

twins had a very good game, lots of energy, along with burrows.

canucks 5 calgary 1

If you check the rankings on Monday they will be very close to first place!

canucks are definitely holding their own, point wise, but chicago is just chugging along with 20 points,

and don't seem to be weakening, and are playing their best hockey in a long time.

Its dissapointing to see the rest of our north west division all floundering down near the bottom of the

conference, hope they pick it up a bit soon.

That could change with their next encounter with Chicago, Vancouver has already beat them once this year!

yeah they did, but chicago did get one point in the shoot out game, and luongo stoned their 3 best shooters,
that was sweet.

kesler will be back sometime in the next couple of weeks I think, and booth is skating, but not ready for
awhile yet, so it is nice that the team can win without them, proves they have good depth, and when
injuries happen they won't collapse.
nice to see our canuck thread active, I was waiting to see if there is any interest,
so if others want to participate, I will be here.

Well, at the end of the second period the Canucks are leading the Flames 3 - 1
The Canucks appear to be the stronger team and they've had the best chances.
I would predict that the Canucks will get a couple more goals in the third. Schneider
has been sharp as well.

As I predicted, the Canucks did get a couple more goals. Schneider stayed sharp and played shut-out
hockey for the rest of the game.
It is good that Vancouver still has a couple of strong players yet to come back. Kesler and Booth can improve
the team. Depends to some extent who they give up to get them back into the line up. The
coaches rarely ask me what they should do in these situations so we'll see what happens.

I spent over an hour and a half reading the earlier posts on this thread. I was surprised that this thread was started so long ago.
A few players have started and finished a career during the time of this thread.

That would increase TO's odds but reduce the Canucks odds, so maybe there wouldn't be much to adjust.-:)

chicago, new jersey, boston, anaheim, pittsburg, detroit, ottawa, all whom are right there, and there is
the team that gets hot, and makes it into the playoffs, (like los angelos last season), then they are
on a roll, and anything can happen, as it did last season.

its a coin toss, just ask vineault. lol

Taloola, I would never go into a hockey pool with you. May as well just mail you my money.............

i'll send you a self-addressed envelope. lol

yeah I know, I see toronto's goalie is injured now, he will be out for a couple
of weeks, I wonder if they can keep winning without him.

gillis was on 'hockey central' this morning, he said they are quite happy to keep
both goalies for the remainder of the year, as it is a very secure feeling to know
that both goalies are very strong, then in the summer they can figure out
how to deal with the rest of it, as he knows they can't keep both goalies going into
'next' season.

I enjoyed the canucks tonight, they came to play, and play they did. It seems without kesler, they
dig deeper knowing that have to.

one game at a time for me jlm. I don't really care about the stanley cup, i'm very tired of all that
stanley cup talk for the last two years, i'm leaving it for others, i'm just enjoying each game I
watch, and whatever happens, happens.

last year not one person would have thought about the kings winning the stanley cup, but they did,
just proves what I always say, any team that makes the playoffs is capable, OK, i'm out.

Interesting that the Canucks got over the loss of Kesler by other people stepping up
and filling in. The Sedins again were excellent. Gillis seems to be resigned to keeping
both goaltenders for the rest of the season and that could also be a positive thing.
