Hey, shadowshiv, thanks for the welcome! I'm a huge hockey fan, not so big on rooting for a team while I'm watching a game (might miss something), but I do have a soft spot for the Canucks. What's your team?

If #10 can't be found, can my husband become that number? He can be called 'mousie', which was

his nick name as a kid, and if he has to, he can become a member, although he will never participate

at all in the forum.

Just so this thing can get off the ground.

Just a thought.

I root for the Toronto Maple Leafs(I have since I was a kid). I am hopeful that they perform better than they did last season.;)

I'll give this until the end of tommorrow.

If we don't get the tenth then I'm killing the idea.

Talloola suggested her husband(not the gentleman already signed into this thread) as a possible tenth. Why couldn't we use him to round it out?

Nope, one outsider per person.

Avro, since this would have just been a hockey pool for fun(not for any prizes/money) I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal. However, you are the one that set it up, so in the end it's up to you. Just wanted to post my opinion on it, is all.:)

I am at a bit of a loss. I fail to see what principle of earth shattering proportions would be broken here. Sounds to me like a bit of "cutting off your nose to spite your face".........

Can't get ten people on a Canadian web site.

Perhaps if it was the NFL (No Fun League) people would be interested.

Life goes on....

Not me. Hockey and baseball are the only two sports I follow on a regular basis.

So, what is your honest opinion of Montreal's chances this year, Avro?:) I think the Habs made a mistake letting Halak go and keeping Carey Price. While I am not a Habs fan, I think that Halak would have made them a better team.

I discussed the trade in the Canadiens thread.

To sum it up the trade was a good idea. They neede cap room to sign Plekanec and got a future top six forward in return for the right to sign Halak.

Price, I think, has more upside in the long term....I just don't buy into the one trick pony Halak.

Ian Shultz(part of Halak trade) might just make the NHL one day as well, see's himself as a Lucic type of player. Time is the true test of this trade.

Considering how the last 17 years have gone I am probally completely wrong.

Well, at least they shouldn't be as bad as the Leafs were last year!;) I sure hope the Leafs get their act together this Season.

Hopefully Ian Shultz won't get hit with the injury bug like Lucic has been.
