I only got two. Do you have to have a bucket full to be an auto worker? It must be hard to walk around.

I didn't blame the UNION EMPLOYEES for anything, I blamed the FACT that they are receiving wages not commensurate with what comparable work is generally paid in the private sector- mechanics, body repairmen being paid $20-$30 an hour.

They are private sector union members thier wages are the product of negotiation resulting in a legally binding and contracted wage and benefit scale. **** management and eat the rich.

All different jobs, they all have buckets of nuts and bolts and the guy installing bumpers has a bushel of bumpers and as the vehicle passes on the assy. line he grabs a couple of nuts and bolts and installs the bumper and he may do that 5 or 10 times in an hour.

So the guy that installs bumpers gets $75/hour? Since the average assembly line worker gets $75/hour, I guess the guys involved in engineering only get $75/hour. Seems kinda unfair to pay a bumper putter oner the same as a robot fixer upper.

If you haggle with the dealer and sales maybe they can toss in some mud flaps, seat covers and pin striping? Then you'd have a complete ass who was suckered into an overpriced, outdated, over sized piece of crap.

Well the long arm of the automotive industries woes has grabbed me by the arse and I am outside looking in. Just a temporary thing if you count July or November as temporary. I think Ford is doing the right thing by staying out of the taxpayers pockets. If the government knew how to run an auto industry it would have been in the public domain years ago.
