No you're not. Your way deals with the pedophile after he's molested a child. Encouraging them to come forward and seek help BEFORE they hurt a child is how you protect kids. You're simply interested in vengeance. That doesn't help kids.

Don't be so silly. A pedophile may ask for help if they had some reasonable expectation that idiots weren't going to try and "cut their nuts off". As long as we continue to demonize mental illnesses and psychiatric disorders, those with these issues will be less inclined to step forward and ask for help. But hey, I'm just looking to protect kids. I'll leave the nut-cut-offing to the emotional folks like you.

Paedophilia is termed paedophilic disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), and the manual defines it as a paraphilia in which adults or adolescents 16 years of age or older have intense and recurrent sexual urges towards and fantasies about prepubescent children that they have either acted on or which cause them distress or interpersonal difficulty.
If you are sexually attracted to children but you have not sexually abused a child or your sexuality does not cause you distress or interpersonal difficulty, then you are NOT a paedophile. To be sexually attracted to children does not make one a paedophile.
Remember, you can't help who you are attracted to. A person is no less to blame for them finding themselves attracted to children as a man is to blame for him being attracted to other men.
