I little melodramatic don't you think? There's a few that are like that, most are quite well kept. Take a drive around Cape Mudge sometime.

I used to work on water systems for what was then Indian and Northern Affairs. Can think of one that wasn't a complete Shytehole. The rest could have been drastically improved with 4 hours and a bulldozer. I thought it was just a problem in the north until I spent some time around Gleichen and Brockett

Holy Cow! I could hardly believe my ears!
When confronted today about turning his back on the coalition against ISIS, Trudeau said that the coalition members didn't mind, in fact this is the first time in 20 years a Canadian PM has been invited to a U.S. State Dinner.
If there was any doubt that hob-nobbing with the upper class was foremost in Trudeau's mind over and above his duties as PM, this nailed it!

Less than 40% did.

Which party got a larger share of the vote than 40%, Walter?

Why is it so many people think that 50% is some sort of magic number in politics? That would hold true in a two system, in Canada I believe there were 14 parties running in the last election. Would it even be reasonable to think that one party is possibly going to achieve 50%. 40% would be a miracle.

Because 50% + 1 represents a majority and the concept of majority rule is one of the foundations of our democratic system. I can't say I'm surprised I had to explain that to you.

What democratic system do we have ? I always thought Canada was a constitutional monarchy .
