Kicked from the UN as being recognized as a Nation.

UNGA 194, on refugees (11 December 1949 )
This resolution resolves that the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid or the property of those choosing not to return and for loss of or damage to property which, under principles of international law or in equity, should be made good by the Governments or authorities responsible.

And you know that would make Isreali's a minority - and it will not happen - Never mind what has been passed or not - reality s based on the situation - Land here traded back and forth - compensation which will of course come from the West.

That's lovely, and as soon as the Palestinians show any sign of ceasing hostilities, perhaps the Israelis will consider letting some of the refugees return....the youngest of which would currently be 62 years old........

And of course, that action will have to wait until there is some settlement made for the 800,000 Jews booted out of Arab countries with nothing.....

In other words, the "right of return" is a freaking joke.

Be serious.

The youngest was born today. Families inherit things from each other.

Fine, then the only Jews there should be the same ones that Rome removed in 70 AD.

They keep repeating that they do not have the right to return by denying Arabs the right. Arabs did not chase the Jews off the land, if they want compensation sue the the inheritors of Ancient Rome. All Arabs were protected from being deported or harassed in any fashion from when UN 181 was signed in Nov/'47. We singed the thing as a Nation, are we as gutless when it comes to doing something that make the Jews pay attention. What was given can be taken back. Take a vote to suspend their membership today and there would be about 10 that would vote they remain a member of the UN and the rest would vote No. You and they should begin top realize that. .

You yourself have clearly stated that when talks fail violence is the next step. That is how we would operate if our Government went totally corrupt. In that reguard Canada and the US share the same stipulation in out separate constitutions. If it ever got to that the conflict over there would be a skirmish compared to what would happen in out country.

Were given all sort of things by the international community by the world's biggest welfare state Israel. For all your bragging about how 'motivated they are to succeed' as Doctors, Lawyers, etc perhaps they should be funding their own countries needs. That would put them on the scale as being slighly poorer than the average Haitian. Who cares if their income is taxed at 95%.

First of all, while some Arabs were evicted from their land, a great many either fled because of the urging of the Arab nations invading, or simply because of reasonable fear in a war zone.

Secondly, you are completely incorrect over Jewish evictions. While some Jews left the host Arab countries voluntarily, most were forced out, and had their assets seized on the way.

The two situations are very much the same........except there are no Jewish refugee camps, because Israel took in their people and helped them settle, while the Arab nations continue to viciously abuse the Palestinians, to use them as a propaganda tool and a ready source of third party cannon fodder against Israel.

There will NEVER be a return of refugees. Full stop.

According to international law, civilians who flee a war zone have a right to return home after the fighting ends. Palestinians are the only exception. Israel should have to respect international laws or face sanctions.

Also I fail to see why the nations which voted against the creation of Israel have full responsible for the resulting refugee problem. IMO, the nations that voted to create this problem should be responsible for the consequences.

I can only find photo's of her career at the end of her white-house tour. One grainy thumbnail is all I can find of her early days in that capacity, confronting Tricky Dick lol Anybody got any of her on the job on her first day to the White House.

Hate to say it but it might be time to turn to radio before true retirement, I hear Alex Jones has an opening for an opinionated personality that has been close to the action. She doesn't look like she can keep pace with the speed the limo's travel these days.

Not a bump but 1960 is the correct answer. Very odd but she looks not all that much younger at the site that had that info. Bay of Pigs all the way up to today. Wonder what her journals are worth these days in Washington?

Still no photo's yet, perhaps she was too hot for the day. Even JFK could fall for a pretty face.

HELEN THOMAS - Vice Magazine

and since I did bump it

She's on the ball enough to change her mind if she spent an afternoon with her new bosses wife. The same can't be said for 'the other-side' last spokesperson I heard that made me cringe was when this guy was mentioning Jerusalem being attacked by Saddam .... no ..... no ..... I mean Iran. Within the next whole 5 sentences it's back to being Saddam's but it was flawless so no retakes. I didn't know what to do laugh, cringe, or shiver, so I did all 3 and then I laughed again, I'm still on that one and the occasional shake of the head.

Love to see here on a PPV taking on the 'old bosses', a great choice for a role as a 'retired' General for the 'little ones' when it comes to the to blinded Israel and relative of the same mother Eve.

A few minor points I would like some clarity on. You have just defined 'some' as being the number of Arabs that were displaced between the full year starting in Nov of 1948. That was the ones who could be counted, that does not count the ones how died. Declaration of the right to return included certain 'confessions' and agreements. Very close to what the UN stipulated the new Jewish population was to agree to when it declared itself a Nation. Palestine could not do that until the upcoming court cases were heard in full and all the fine print had been explained in full (over $12 M in legal costs) . I think Canada had that part put in as the way is worked out was something we had tried and it didn't work out all that well because we let some of the conquered (by a vote of 33 people, most of whom go by the rules that on constitutional matters we have to have all voters vote one-by-one when it comes to our constitution. We have to treat other Nations the same way. Mess with Palestine and all the voters decide if it is 'yes' or 'no'. I can't find a result for that vote either.

Compare the plight of Israel/Palestine to Canada and Old Europe and the First Nations. War - Treaties and agreements signed --- whole lot of not very productive time for both sides -- attempts at reaparing all that not very productive time --- still fine tuning that end.

That took a lot of years. Palestine shouldn't have to go through that but so far the tracts match exactly. This is all during the war stage, their plight once the papers are signed is yet to start.
