You should vote NDP, you are as ill informed about true conservatives as they are.
I might vote for a true conservative if any put themselves forward for election. These current Conservatives, whatever they are, aren't conservatives in any meaningful sense, that's just the label they use. Might as well call themselves Gazorgumplatzers for all the bearing it has on reality. True conservatives are people like Robert Stanfield, Peter Lougheed, Joe Clark, Dalton Camp... People of principle and honour and compassion. These guys just look like thugs to me, and except for the PM, not very smart ones.

Evidently you haven't paid much attention to Joe Clark, or heard him speak, or met him. Maybe he thought your first "this guy" was a foolish demagogue lacking tact and discretion, which seems a fairly accurate assessment to me, and I dunno who your second "this guy" represented by the exclamation mark inside the yellow triangle is. Evidently Joe Clark, after losing his bid in the leadership convention, promised John Crosby that he would throw his support behind him for leader as well as urge his supporters to do the same. When it came down to crunch time he broke that promise and Brian Mulroney won the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party.
He was a spineless leader and upon his return as leader of the PC's it was either his arrogance or stupidity that stood in the way of Uniting the Right and offering up an alternative to the arrogant and corrupt Chretien government. I have no illusions about who the principled politicians are up there on the hill. There are few and Joe Clark is not among them.

Red points generally indicate something about the donor moreso than the idea. Maybe it would be a good idea if when one hits the red a pop up comes up asking for an explanation before the red is registered. :smile: I get lots of reds from one poster who is just being himself. :lol:

Yeah, you are right about many people in B.C. People have to learn that the only "short cut" to properity and success is hard work (often for low pay) over many years.......................unless you don't mind ripping off the rest of the electorate or be a politician (oops I guess that's the same thing) . I wonder when the N.D.P. get back in if they'll hire Lizzy Cull as a consultant to help with drawing up budgets.
