Here’s more Americans destabilizing the region:
A massive search-and-rescue operation is ongoing in the Arabian Sea, where the incident occurred Thursday. The SEALs moved to board the vessel, described by officials as a dhow lacking proper identification, amid suspicions that there were arms on board.

The seized items included Iranian-made ballistic and cruise missile warheads, propulsion and guidance systems, and air defense components. An “initial analysis” indicates the weapons match those the Houthis have used to target ships on the Red Sea, according to the statement, which accuses Iran and others involved of violating international law and a related U.N. resolution. Etc…The operation marked the first U.S. Navy seizure of advanced Iranian-made ballistic components since 2019, the statement added.

We do enjoy stirring shit up. . .
The Houthis, to be clear, are enemy forces. Canada is a member of the United States-led Operation Prosperity Guardian, and is therefore on the other end of the conflict with the Yemeni rebels. We may have only sent three personnel to join the mission (so far), but we’re involved nonetheless. Admittedly, the Houthis aren’t officially designated as terrorists, but they did achieve this status in the U.S. (Donald Trump listed them only for Joe Biden to unlist them. Biden is now reconsidering.)

The ships falling under attack, by the way, come from and are destined for many different countries. This includes the India-bound, Bahamian-flagged, British-owned, Japanese-operated ship whose crew was taken hostage (the captive crewmen hail from the Philippines, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Mexico and Romania); because the ship allegedly has some kind of affiliation with an Israeli billionaire, this somehow justifies the kidnapping of its international crew. (Notably, Chinese-crewed ships seem to be getting a pass.)

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles at what it claimed were Israeli “spy headquarters” in Iraq’s Kurdish region and hit targets allegedly linked to ISIL (ISIS) in northern Syria, saying it was defending its security and countering terrorism.

At least eight explosions were heard in Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdish region, early on Tuesday. Four people were killed and six were wounded, the regional security council said.

“Ballistic missiles were used to destroy espionage centres and gatherings of anti-Iranian terrorist groups in the region,” the IRGC said, adding that it fired 11 missiles, state media reported.

Do you know what would be really cool? Putin offering Iran to hide under its nuclear umbrella.

Think about it. They share the Caspian which feeds the Volga which feeds the Motherland.

We couldn't do it without you! Thanks, Canada!
