Funniest part is all your little shots about the reserves. Being a bigot, you assume that because I'm an Indian, I must approve of government programs to "help" Indians. I don't. I vehemently oppose every "Indian" program the U.S. has or has ever had, and I strongly doubt I'd approve of any Canadian ones either.

The funniest part is that you, being an idiot, think calling people a bigot or a racist or whatever variation you come up with in your next squeal does anything but bring contempt - for you - by everyone who reads it other than other idiots. My mentioning of the reserves was to point out that we have areas of this country that need a lot of help, and that we should focus on them rather than importing people who will in all likelihood be welfare lifers.
In any capitalist economy there are always going to be losers to go with the winners. As for immigration giving the economy any sort of 'boost', there simply is no evidence to substantiate that claim. To the contrary, immigration is extremely costly when you bring in a lot of people - hundreds of thousands - who lack the job skills to make a good living. In Canada due to its highly progressive taxation, unless you get a well-paying job you're not contributing to the tax base, but collecting from it. According to a study done by the Fraser Institute that's currently costing us around $30 billion per year in unpaid services to immigrants. And while I'm sure that some of their children become highly educated some of them also become welfare lifers and criminals. Most street crime in Canada is carried out by immigrants and their children, especially the more violent street crimes.

Canada's very existence is proof that bringing in immigrants increases (boosts) the economy.
The best "help" you can give is to end all special status.
You'll still be a bigot, but at least the Natives'll stand a fighting chance.
That is one of those causation/correlation things which every scientist knows to be absurd and illogical.
I've been all for ending special status for years. I think it's ridiculous that we keep paying people to stay on reserves established many generations ago because nobody could imagine "Indians" coming to live among civilized people. These reserves, unlike normal towns and cities, were never established as a result of economics, as in towns and cities established along rivers, trade routes, near mines and in farming countries. So they are not and never will be economically viable.
Unfortunately, the biggest resistance to ending special status are the hundreds of chiefs who make out like bandits under the current system, and wield enormous power over their reserves by the ability to spend money on pretty much whatever they want.
You moron.
That's why I say y'all should deport 'em (or throw 'em in the Bay of Fundy).
