The bigger problem we have in the NA justice system is that the practice is now more along the lines of catch-and-release

Despite the horrendous gaffs (and I do agree it's very unprofessional of the media, they do have a responsibility to be accurate and informative) can you imagine a media blackout and the only "misinformation" being from unofficial sources like Twitter? You think your co-workers are scared now? Picture them in that kind of world.

A media blackout would open the door for twitter and youtube news.

Hell, a formal blackout might even cause more concern for the public at large

TORONTO - The Toronto aunt of two men tied to the Boston Marathon bombings doesn't want to believe her nephews are being labeled terrorists.

In an exclusive interview with QMI Agency Friday morning, Maret Tsarnaev said Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, and his older brother Tamerlan, 26, were being framed.

"This is a huge tragedy for the family," Tsarnaev, 45, said. "My brother's two boys, they are growing up so fast. My first reaction is, ‘Why the hell would they do this?' But when I go through all the material, it's not giving anything ... the whole world is now making a decision (on them) now by just seeing these pictures and not having anything else."

The aunt said she hasn't seen the two men for five years, but knew they were living in Cambridge, Mass.

Who, Trudeau? No, don't kill him! I mean, it's been years since Doonesbury was funny, but that's not a death penalty offence (though it should be).

Real desperados.. they've had interviews with friends of the younger brother this morning.. another one of these 'nicest kids in school' who go out in a blaze of mass murder and gunfire ( i assume that'll be the final outcome). The older brother seemed to be having trouble assimilating into American culture.. but the younger one seemed to be completely comfortable.. a student at UMass Dartmouth, lots of friends.. i think he was a lifeguard at the Harvard Pool.. captain of the wrestling team in his senior year of High School. The older brother too had competed in the Golden Gloves.. tried out for the American Olympic Boxing team. Crazy.. i don't like to blame Islam.. but young Muslim men seem very prone to radicalization.. done in with promises of paradise with 72 virgins.

It most definitely would, hell I'd be freaking terrified if a true media blackout ever occured on a breaking news story. That just doesn't happen.

Anyway, people, stupid people, over reacting to what they hear is hardly a new phenomenon. War of the Worlds mean anything to anyone??
