The Canadian Militia is a traditional title given to militia units raised from local communities for the defence of Canada. The term has been used to describe colonial militias raised in Canada, as well as its regular army from 1855 to 1940.
Curious Cdn, you have zero in on a very specific type of militia, and in your ignorance have insulted Canadian Militia. I hereby am calling you out for this. I demand an apology from you to all Canadian Militia.
The Canadian Militias that you refer to are under the auspacies of the Crown, as were the Naval Half Companies that followed them a hundred years ago. The closest modern equivalent to those original militias (that are now all fully part of the Canadian Armed Forces) would be the Rangers up North. The are armed by the federal government and under the command of the federal government.
When I hear that you've joined the Militia, a.k.a the Army Reserve, put on a uniform and put your money where your mouth is, I will apologise to you.

Then there is other wealth- and it comes to people who have a monopoly stranglehold on some essential service. Such as your bank fees- that are set by a powerful cabal of bankers- with no room for negotiation or refusal of service- in our modern world you must have a bank account for your boss to deposit your pay into- you will not be paid in cash. Or your auto insurance that is set by another powerful cabal of business owners- with no room for negotiation- either you pay or you walk! Or your car license plate- you pay what the union that controls the clerks who issue the plates have decided- in cooperation with LIE-beral politicians or you walk. Your property tax rates are set by another cabal of unions in cooperation with LIE-beral politicians. Your income tax is set by yet another cabal of unions and LIE-beral politicians! Over 50 percent of an average income is controlled by LIE-berals and unions in the form of taxes that you MUST PAY! Then add in the oligopoly that controls your bank and your mortgage or your rent and then add your insurance company and we see that over 75 percent of your income is controlled by those powerful- LIE-beral friendly - oligopolies. Then add in the massive borrowing that is done in your name by LIE-berals - and it IS money you MUST pay back some day- and we see that ALL your money has been spent by LIE-beral politicians on their pet projects- which usually do NOT include you! In 2016 LIE-berals ordered a fraud artist who was accused of stealing $30 million dollars out of the country and let him take his stolen money with him- because they could not give him a trial in a reasonable time. In 2017, LIE-berals ordered 3 fraud artists- with their stolen $14 million dollars- out of the country without the bother of a trial due to lack of resources. But at the same time LIE-berals did find the time to give an immigration hearing to a Guatemalan death squad leader- who had already been rejected by Yankee immigration officials! And in 2017 LIE-berals arrested and charged a Mississauga man with Hate crime because he offered up cash to anybody who could provide proof that hate speech was occurring in Muslim Mosques. Yes- it is now ILLEGAL in Canada for a citizen to ask for proof of some thing LIE-berals do not want to discuss!
