President who says the answer to gun violence is more guns is just fine with people who love gun violence.

its the answer they're looking for.

However Perhaps this President is the one who will accidentally change the will of most to reject the idea of changing the constitution. The death toll as a result of guns has reached such proportions that even those who usually scream about freedom to be the sole protectors of themselves and their families have been affected by such rampant killings.

What a way for a child in primary school to begin life, knowing they may not be returning when school is let out!! The young who so far have been the most affected do not seem to be accepting of getting a gun and shooting their way through life. The young & the women, it seems are about to change the politics of the US.

Right! give us proof where bullets have saved as many prople as they have obliterated!

My hunting rifle has fed and saved more people than it has obliterated. And contrary to your jaded/prejudiced/bigoted/uninformed opinion Bluebyrd, most owners are like me.

Not at all. The Supreme Court ruled that the government can ban "dangerous and unusual" weapons in Miller, and your beloved Scalia confirmed that in Heller.

Interesting. The constitution writes 'The government shall not' and the pig ignorant left wants to write 'The government can ban...'

See all the people still walking around, a gun made that possible. People play with what you give them, give them a ploughsheer and will they start putting people or seeds into the furrow it creates. War is 2nd to famine in population control weapons. You can fake a war, you cannot fake a mass starvation in grain country.

Bury the story is the best you can do.

Really? You mean of course by feeding them by hunting! Since that is by license and not because of necessity., how does that count. We have good food banks you know. How many gun fights have you been in?? If you live in Canada how many would have starved to death? Have you ever confronted an armed person intent on killing? If so please give us a link>

You callous insensitive ignorant hack. My hunting rifle is a lee enfield .303 that my dad's uncle brought home after ww2. Since then, he only used it for hunting and that is the only thing I have used it for. But don't think for one moment that should your life need defending it is incapable of doing the job.

Interesting. A friend of mine had a Ross that his Grandfather had brought back from WW I as a deer rifle.

young people do not subscribe to the tired old rhetoric of guns. It is meaningless to them when they are being killed.

The hope here is that the democratic party is becoming younger and browner and lefter while the gop is getting whiter and older.

The will of the People is changing.

My first center fire rifle was A Lee Enfield 303 That I purchased new at an army surplus store..
A couple of years later I got a 30-06 Remington pump...

I figured I didn't need 10 rounds in the magazine.......

Once again, read the Constitution.

If the American people wish to amend the Constitution, there is a way to do that.

That is the only legitimate way for the gun grabbers to approach the problem.

If they are not willing to do that, they should STFU.

Please show me where in the US constitution that firearms cannot be kept out of the hands of the mentally ill. Or that extra-capacity magazines cannot be regulated.

I am an insentative, callous hack?? You are so insenstive that if one even suggests installing laws that will cut the shooting of thousands using rather stupid arguments.....you throw a temper tantrum, like a spoilt child!! Improving the gun control laws in the US will not affect YOUR chances of keeping or losing your favourite toy. GROW UP!! and talk sense.

I think we can both agree that the mentally ill can be denied their freedom when necessary. So what are you attempting to say here?

Are you saying there are menntally ill patients running around hospital wards with assault weapons? That would be dumb because it is not happening.

Are you saying that we should all be treated like the mentally ill? That too would be dumb.

Actually, the phrase "The government shall not" appears nowhere in the Second Amendment, nor anywhere else in the Constitution.

And you think Justice Antonin Scalia was a leftist?

You are one funny Canadian. You should take your show on the road, like so many Canadians before you.
