If we go back a few dozen pages on this thread, you will find a discussion about youth dying at a rate that is 14 times higher than firearm.....how? they are drowning in privately owned swimming pools.

Atomic bombs have killed fewer people than automobiles, so anybody who wants one should be allowed to have it.
On this note.....yesterday, I sent in my $80 and P.A.L. renewal application for Non restricted, restricted and prohibited firearms...for the next five years to the R.C.M.P.
I'm only due for renewal in august, but better to be too early than too late.
Strange that in Ontario Driver's license, Health card and P.A.L. all become due on the same date and are good for five years.....

i say that inanimate objects that are produced mainly to kill or maim must be controlled, not allowed in the hands of those who are apt to cause harm to themselves or others. It is about the protection of the majority of us who wish to live without fear or paranoia as MUCH as is possible. We have all met persons who know only violence as a solution to a situation or person who rubs them the wrong way.
Right here on this forum nasty forms of actions are expressed as solutions to differing opinions. So if simply expressing different views provokes such violent solutions why allow deadly weapons in the hands of those who's first reaaction to a problem is using maiming or deadly injury as a way of solving a problem.
They took this kids guns away, he got them back and then used them to kill some strangers.

You can cause more mayhem with a truck or a van and they are more available than firearms.....
okay then lets by all means show our aptitude for reasonable solutions and ban staircases ,cars and trucks, motorcycles, cigarettes, fase teeth, as i am sure one or two people over thhe years died swallowing them. That way unintentional as well as intentional injuries and deaths can be elliminated. i guess logic is not one of your best traits. Also I knew of one child who pulled a TV over on himself and died,so they should be added to the list of things to ban.
